Marianna Rest Area MM-133 Eastbound — Local services in Marianna

The Rest Area on the outside is a nice looking place walkways, trees, table all nice but it ends there!!! When it comes to the restrooms the day and time we stopped in this place was in BAD, BAD shape. The mens room smelled horrific and you could see the urine has soaked into the flooring and walls. The urinals are something you would see in a outdated prison system. These urinals are metal and they hold up to three inches of liquid and only flush out a half inch after use so you can guess whats sitting in there cooking all day. The maintenance man had blocked off one off one of the two mens room for "Cleaning" yet he was sitting outside the womens restroom enjoy the "views". We as a family travel consistently and using America's Interstate as a way to travel and I can honestly say this restroom is the worse rest area restroom I've walked into or smelt. In a time when the world, Country, States are focused on Pandemic's, Diseases, Illnessess and Cleanliness you would think that the governments (federal and states) with all the people they've furloughed they've could have temporarily offered positions to building maintenance workers the chance to stay working by picking up days working at the locations along the...

Another stop along the I-10 Interstate East bound. The buildings were clean, and neat inside. Traffic was manageable, and orderly. I stop often as others have mentioned. Stopping to see the area is part of my journey, not just the destination point. Travel may take a little longer but I arrive a little more relaxed because I take more breaks; but that's just my way. EXCELLENT PLACE ! LOTS OF SPACE , NICE AND CLEAN PARKING LOT , ( FREE PARKING BY THE WAY ) NICE GRASS TO WALK A DOG , SUBWAY ! ( THE LADY AT SUBWAY WAS SO NICE I ASKED HER TO SELL ME THE BREAD ONLY SINCE I HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH COLD CUTS IN MY TRUCK - NO PROBLEM ! ) COFFEE WAS GOOD !
