I found this a nice place to visit but not an inspiring or heartwarming place to practice. I found most of the residents were kind of cold, and it isn't family-like sangha. You are kind of left to your own devices for the most part with not much support. They dont really check in with you. The higher uppers only show up for morning zazen and then go back to their life. The "dharma talks" were mostly dull. I tried to get a dokusan with a practice leader here and she ghosted me without even bothering to follow up. Also there are not many biopic people here. I feel like most of the residents are just here and comfortable and it's not really a training place meant to be inspiring...

Huge tree's, nice trails, a yert (lol) and it smells like you WANT a pine forrest to smell, pungent vibrant with life with truly stunning scenery filled with different tree's and fauna. There was a yoga retreat I believe there in the buildings when we happened upon the place, and boy am I glad we did. Driving along the cliff edges was an adrenaline pumper for sure. But be careful, some people just cant enjoy the scenery and try to drive fast on those thin roads on the side of the mountains with a sheer 80 foot drop off the side, but they didn't beep when we were going slower than they would like to enjoy the scenery.
