Riverside Cinemas — Local services in Marine City

Really nice movie theater with some really nice people running it. For $14 or so I was able to get not only a movie matinee I was Toy Story 4 but I also had a huge soda and a humongous bucket of popcorn. Now even though I didn't take advantage of this additional deal they do while you two actually refill your soda or popcorn for $0.50 as many times as you wish. The theater was not overly crowded and was very clean and spacious 2 with a special tray for each seed being available for your drinks and your popcorn so you don't have to hold it. It is also located conveniently next to a Kmart yes I said a Kmart I believe it's one of the only three Kmart's left in the Metro Detroit area sad end of an era probably a good idea to go check that out so you can say you were actually in a Kmart before they become extinct. I just love this place. It’s not crowded, super clean, concession prices are lower than the bigger theaters, and staff is very nice. It’s truly a hidden gem. If I didn’t already live in town, I would definitely drive here to see movies. Oh it also shows new releases at the same time that the bigger theaters do, so get in your car and head over. Ticket prices are comparable to big theaters as well.

After the movie you can grab lunch or dinner in one of Marine City’s many restaurants or stroll along the St Clair River.

The only downside is that they don’t have as many showtimes as the big theaters, but it is owned and operated by a local family. You have to assume they operate after school and aster work.

Growing up in and around Marine City has made me quite fond of Riverside Cinemas. This theater is the ideal for small cities and towns. Sometimes we know the person on the other side of the counter or maybe you ran into the owner walking around downtown. This theater represents the values of our town and the people. The pricing is pretty cheap for the great quality they provide. Some people prefer going to a brand name movie theater like MJR. Everything is bigger and better there.
