Raven Golf Club — Local services in Marlinton

I’ve been loving this course since it opened in 1993 and it is sad to see how the conditions have deteriorated over the years. Still, the layout and the views are spectacular. August 19, 2022 the conditions are: greens- good, fairways- very good, tees and bunkers-absolute trash. I won’t be back this season but am anticipating a better 2023 season, but they have got to do something about those tees and bunkers if they ever hope to bring it back to its glory days.

2024 Update: after skipping 2023 we are back for 2024. Unfortunately, not much has changed. The greens are very good! The fairways are generally good. The bunkers are poor and the tee boxes are a crabgrass farm. Our carts have extremely worn tires which is actually dangerous when the paths are wet. Overall I love this layout but the conditions remain...

awesome course in the mountains. was only 81 degrees while the courses back home in virginia were well into the 90s. I Def recommend you download the app in clubhouse so you can get distances. the guy at the counter should have suggested it but he seemed like he had a brain injury.... not really but slow and minimal help considering he knows 90% of players must be vacationing. course has some epic elevated tee boxes allowing for awesome views and absolute bombs... especially 4 and 9. we saw plenty of deer which we expected. was a great time. course is pretty tight just like any mountain course due to fairways being built into hills and surrounded by valleys on both sides. I'll Def be golfing...

Course was really beautiful and challenging, the fairways were I. Pretty good shape. The greens and tee boxes were terrible, and in some cases not even playable and we Had to venture outside the tee boxes to find a space good enough to tee off. The rental clubs (it’s part of a resort area so kind of surprised they didn’t have a better options for club rental) were in the the words of the staff, embarrassing with the back end of the driver complete smashed in. Would likely go play again, with my own clubs, but the greens the way they are, you pretty much have to play guaranteed 2 putt to even...
