Absolutely beautiful! BUT BE WARNED! Hiking shoes are an absolute MUST. The first trek is up a STEEP gravel hill. Then down roughly 20 steps (I didn't count) after a small worn smooth path you come to a tree root ladder (view from bottom looking up) after that it's up to you as to which direction you choose. It's a "take your own path" kind of hike. There are TONS of tree roots sticking up so it can be tricky. You can see the river and some smaller bits of the falls on the first T off. If you head to the right it's around a Level 2 mild level 3 Hike, it's mostly flat but a lot of rocks and tree roots. There is a man made tree Bridge, WARNING IF YOU CHOOSE TO CROSS IT the Hike becomes Level 5. Crazy steep. Use tree roots to pull yourself up and use as steps. Quite a few of the pathways are very slim and slippery. As a mom I would not be comfortable letting or having my kids attempt this part. The water is absolutely beautiful and the small part of falls we seen were amazing. But...
Read moreWOW!!!! What a beautiful hike to see such amazing beautiful falls. When you visit here make sure you ate prepared to hike, so with that said I would recommend hiking shoes or boots. Have water and snacks this isn't a walk the smooth path and you are there. To get top the main falls it is pretty easy but if you want top really explore them be prepared to really be in for a good time. As you continue your adventure depending on how far you decide to travel can get scary. If you pass the main falls and cross the wilderness bridge the real adventure begins and it recommend that before before you start you analyze your path because it doesn't take very much before you realize how high and off the path you are. Other than that just be ready to have a great time and see what beauty the...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful. But if you plan on seeing them dress for a hike. There are steep climbs down and up. I am not the strongest climber so I couldn't make it past the second or third waterfall. There was maybe a thirty or forty foot climb at a 100 to 120 degree climb. There are no paved trails. You have to walk over fallen branches and tree roots growing up out the ground. I have no idea how difficult the trail is above the hill. I was with my mom and she uses a crutch to get around. There was no way either of us would make it up that hill. However, it is absolutely beautiful. If you love hiking or waterfalls this is the best place to go. And the simple beauty of the area. Nothing man-made. Its a great place to get away from the hustle and flow of society for...
