Cork & Keg Tours — Local services in Marshall

I was so happy with the service from Cork & Keg Tours for my birthday party. If you haven’t been on a wine tour, this is the one to take!

They go to wineries, breweries and cideries. They offer blended tours and private tours. We opted for a private tour. Renee started by helping me choose the best date and time for a private tour. She walked me through all the possible times to start and where would be best for pickup and drop off. Renee explained that we could end the tour at a winery/brewery that had live music, but I chose for our drop off to be the same as the pickup, my home. While I hadn’t visited many wineries, Renee had enough knowledge on several wineries/breweries for me to make my choices.

A link was emailed to each attendee ahead of time for registration, making the pickup seamless. As an added bonus they asked each guest what genre of music they would like, or if I had a playlist to share with them.

The day was perfect. Cork & Keg showed up at my home on time. Their sprinter was immaculate, prepped with a bottle of champagne for the birthday, bottles of water in ice, and the music playing that we had chosen ahead of time.

We visited 3 wineries that day. At each stop, everything was ready for our party of 10. Renee and Don provided such incredible service! We didn’t wait in a single line. Our tastings were setup and waiting for us at each place. Renee and Don took orders for our food and purchased any items we wanted from the wineries, storing them in the sprinter while we continued to enjoy the day.

Renee took a ton of great pictures! The weather was perfect, and our group was able to enjoy the views, while having pictures taken with the amazing background. We were enjoying each winery so much, it was incredibly helpful that Renee and Don kept us on time for the next one, so we could make sure to visit them all that day.

We arrived back home right on time and payment at the end was so easy. A few days later, we all received access to a link that provided all the photos from that day. I’m certain that our tour that day was not last time we chose Cork & Keg for such an amazing, relaxing afternoon...

There is no better winery tour service in the DMV area than Cork & Keg Tours! The feeling of being treated like family on a wine tour, cared for genuinely, and given expert advice on wine, is the reason why I will ONLY use Cork & Keg Tours for any future winery experience I have.

My fiance and I recently did a tour with them and I genuinely felt cared for and VALUED. Not only that, the owners of the business were extremely personable and professional. They share unique connections with local winery owners that make anyone on their tours feel like they have a personal connection to the makers of these great wines. We went to two different wineries and each time we were given a tour of the wine facility, the background of the infrastructure, and then given a healthy dosage of wine:)

Look, this business that they have going on is one that is going to go very far. You want to know the real reason why they will not only be successful, but remain the best winery tour business out there? Because they give their customers VALUE by making them feel like family and truly investing in their experience. How many places have you been to before where you just feel like a number or that your money is the only thing that business wants? It stinks right! So gather up some family and friends, put your masks on (so 2020 am I right), and go have some fun while at the same time seeing exactly why I am writing this review.

This is a long overdue review but I cannot recommend cork and keg enough. I was planning on proposing to my now fiancée in Middleburg VA and C&K went the extra mile to make the day as special and memorable as possible, while keeping the proposal a surprise for my fiancée the entire time. Their knowledge of the local community is unmatched. The weeks leading up to the tour they helped recommend hotels, restaurants, and helped me select the vineyards for the wine tour itself based on my preference of romantic and intimate vibes. Even helped me pick the spot I ended up proposing at, which I would’ve never discovered on my own.

During the tour itself, Nich made sure we were well taken care of at each stop and his partner even sneakily took some pictures of us that we now have framed in our home to remember the occasion. He was very knowledgeable of the Virginia wine scene and did not hesitate to share that knowledge. The vineyards they recommended were all fantastic, and Nich’s white glove approach to planning and execution allowed me to stay relaxed during one of the most nervous moments of my life. I have Cork and Keg to thank for making that weekend one of the most unforgettable experiences for both me and my fiancée.
