Daryl's Gun Shop — Local services in Marshalltown

This is one of the worst gun shops I have been too. Darell (I am assuming is the old guy ) as soon as I walk in stares me down and does not say a word. The lady at the front is nice enough. The indoor range is kinda trashy but not unusable. About 15 min in the old guy comes down yells in my face about how I was shooting the ceiling. I know for a fact I was not shooting the ceiling. The whole place is concrete and dusty if you shoot the ceiling you are going to see a good amount of dust fall from the ceiling. After he yelled at me my dad and brother of witch we have all been shooting hand guns for 13+ years I really did not like this dude telling us how to do something we have done countless times. After this it really killed the mood so we just packed up and left. Also after looking at other reviews of people who have had similar experiences I think he has a thing against non wjite people...

I was a little nervous given the other reviews. However, the people who work here were very helpful, answered all my questions, never made me feel stupid or less than. The woman at the front was great, their pricing is fair, and her dad was by no means "creepy". He even helped figure several things out for us and troubleshoot. We didn't checkout the indoor range. The outdoor range was typical of others in the area. They really know what they're doing and it shows. All the other patrons were greeted and treated with respect and a smile. We had a good experience and will be back...

Horrible experience the lady was very rude. I was there to browse I figured out what I wanted as soon as I did not want to purchase that gun. I was harassed and told I was a waste of time because I did not want to wait 2 weeks for a gun I could of walked out the door with anywhere else. If your trying to waste your time go to this place.
