If you are just starting to learn about renewables, Missouri Wind and Solar has some amazing free resources to help on your journey. they also have a podcast that can be accessed straight from their website. I work with solar equipment every day. I have ordered parts from multiple companies and Missouri Wind and Solar is by far my favorite company to work with. The tools I have purchased from them are the ones I use daily. everytime I have a project or new build, I always check their website before looking anywhere else. their customer service is unmatched, their products just work, and they are located within the u.s. so shipping is super fast. they always treat me with respect and promptly answer questions. however simple or complex your solar, wind, or hydro problem may be, they will work with you. It seems they truly do want you to succeed in your personal renewable goals. I never get the feeling they would allow me to purchase something from them if it wouldn't perform as I hoped. they will help you run the numbers and manage your expectations of what your particular site is capable of. on a more technical note: their skymax lineup of solar charge controllers will recognize and charge 36v which is not a common voltage in backup power, but it is a common voltage among electric bicycles. If you ever wanted a fully electric transport, running 100% from renewables at an affordable price, now is your chance.

We started our interest a few years ago with MW&S by attending a 2-day workshop where we learned quite bit about solar and batteries. They even drew up a preliminary plan for our home and gave us two quotes for choices. Eventually we were ready to start our project and came in to buy our Sol-Ark 15 and hundreds of feet of wire working with Harold. I was also treated to a conversation when the owner stopped by while I was waiting for loading. She was so great to talk to, and she gave me 2 t-shirts (which we really love). As we needed more wire and items for our build, we came back and worked with Trevor and he was very helpful also. He gave me a lot of help in thinking about how to wire our panel arrays as well as connecting me with some local solar electricians who might help me in the difficult spots. I have to say the help is excellent at MW&S. I had run my 24 panel wiring plan through CHATGPT (AI) and then when I talked to Trevor he told me to do it a different way because of the Sol-Ark 15. I contacted Sol-Ark and Trevor was correct! AI is not always correct and I appreciated Trevor's knowledge on this! We will return to MW&S when we need more parts or more help. Doing things DIY is fun, sometimes cheaper, but it really helps to have knowledgeable and helpful folks like MW&S nearby!

I moved to Florida last August and the home I bought has a pond in the front yard. When I Moved in the pond was and is still stocked with Bass and Brim. Not to mention the pond was rapidly becoming over stocked with weeds and algae. My grandson and I literally went into the pond to pull out the weeds. What we needed was a way to aerate the water effectively and efficiently. I could not find anything locally and what I found in state was way to expensive. Then I found MWAS. MWAS not only had a Solar powered aerator system but they had it at less than half price of anything I found in state. Not to mention they helped me size my equipment to match my ponds needs. And once I ordered it I got it here in less than 7 days. After receiving my order I read through the instructions and I even called them with a couple of questions all of which they helped me with. I set up my system over a couple of days. I set post (one I already had) on the first day. (I work 24 hour shifts) Then I finished up the installation of the panels and equipment the day after my shift. Once I figure out the best placement on my pole it went together quickly. The end result is our pond is healthier and the fish seem to be thriving, and the water is clearer. You should see the fish go crazy at feeding time.

Incredible brains work here. I have been putting off a large upgrade from 12v to 48v because my old system (that I did not get through MWS) was always having an issue, mostly with the batteries. I spent a lot of days trying to decide between running the fridge or running the lights in our cabin. Sam had talked to me in the past about running a 48v system and changing to Lithium batteries. Given all the issues I had with my old system I was really leery to spend that much money only to have new problems. Sam assured me I would not regret it. So I bit the bullet and we started the process with just a few new components, but didn't totally dive in yet. Once I had these Pytes batteries, there was no stopping me! I know I have drove the guys there crazy with all my worries and questions, but I was so used to stuff just not working, and this seemed to work without any effort on my part. Like magically perfect. So then we decided we would upgrade to all new panels and some other updates about a month or two ago, and today, I had a small panic because it 'appeared' that one of the solar arrays wasn't working. Well, to my surprise, Sam helped me out and the "problem' was that I had more than enough solar coming in, so we only needed power from one of arrays. I never thought I would hear that in my life. So, gonna invite the neighbors over for a Solar Dump Party.

If any of you are thinking about doing an upgrade and aren't sure where to start, or you think that because stuff didn't work as good as you wanted with your current system, believe me when I tell you, these guys make this so easy. I have been so conditioned to a lot of maintenance and troubleshooting with our old system, that this new one just seems too easy. If I had just believed Sam when he told me it would be night and day, I would have done this 2 years ago and saved myself the trouble. If you have been thinking about lithium batteries, do it. Do it. Just do it. If you have been thinking about solar at all, these are your guys. They have never let me down.

And as always, the team there is amazing and so smart, so the support and help if you need it, is just as awesome as...

2ND UPDATE: THE SALESMAN, BUCK, HAS SENT MY HUSBAND A THREAT OF PHYSICAL VIOLENCE VIA FACEBOOK MESSENGER! WE HAVE CONTACTED BOTH COUNTY SHERIFFS AND STARTED THE PROCESS OF A FORMAL COMPLAINT. NOBODY SHOULD DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY THAT ALLOWS EMPLOYEES TO THREATEN TO COME "SETTLE IT LIKE A MAN" BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHERE WE LIVE.

WE ALSO ARE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB.

UPDATE: WES, THE VP, IS THREATENING TO SUE MY HUSBAND AND I OVER A NEGATIVE REVIEW OF HIS COMPANY.

THIS ATTEMPT AT INTIMIDATION WILL NOT WORK OR BE TOLERATED.

TRUTH ITSELF IS A DEFENSE. WE ARE THE HONEST ONES.

I WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE IF WE RECEIVE ANOTHER THREAT OF LAWSUIT OR ANY OTHER INDIMIDATION TACTIC.

The most unprofessional solar company.

The sales team, specifically Buck, does not have the right amount of knowledge to be selling to 'do it yourselfers'. Buck, with the help of another salesman, wrongly sized wire and fuses for our project. The undersized wire could have easy led to a major fire in our travel trailer. To make matter worse, the owners... Chrystal and Wes are extremely rude and unhelpful. Rather than making things right by the customer, who spent close to a thousand dollars there, they banned us and erased our negative review of how they do business on Facebook. The entire time we were professional while MWAS was unwilling to admit any wrong doing. Don't trust their postive rating as they erase and sensor negative and honest reviews.

When we first went to this place, we were looking for information and to have questions answered that would help us to put together a safely operating system. We even had planned to put together a wind turbine with their help later down the road. But their lack of professionalism has led to the worst experience ever. Do not trust all the five star reviews that somehow are posted all in one day!? Must be their family and friends getting on to counteract all the truthful negative reviews.

Save time and frustration and...

MWANDS is my go to place when it comes to my solar and wind needs. My wife and I bought acreage four years ago that was prohibitively expensive to have power run to. Knowing this, we decided to build a power system of our own. We looked at many options and then found Missouri Wind and Solar. We discussed our planned first build with them. We initially wanted to have a low-cost system that we could expand over time as our budget would allow. The staff there helped us draw up a schematic and made sure our components would all work together as planned. Our first system gave us basic power for our first year. Then, each subsequent year, we have upgraded panels, added additional upgraded panels, added charge controllers, more and better batteries, and a higher wattage charger inverter to help us get to a good place. The entire time we have worked with them, they have patiently answered many questions, given lots of advice, and have always been there with support. I would recommend anyone, whether new to solar and wind or an advanced user, check with them for a second opinion at the least. The best parts of our power station are that every penny we have spent was eligible for the federal tax credit, right now, 30%, and when neighbors ask if our power is out also, we have to tell them we didn't notice, as we always have continous reliable power no matter the weather or season. MWANDS coupled with a great electrician, who consulted with them as well, gave us the peace of mind and certification needed to not worry about power. The only expense we have for power now are minor upgrades and propane for our backup generator when we have many cloudy days in a row. Thank you Missouri Wind and Solar for being a reliable, caring and kind resource for those of us who are our own utility company. In the 4 years Chastain Power Company has been operating, we have safely generated approximately 20 mega watts of...
