From the NY perspective, this shop is a shell shock. The shop has everything from ballistic face shields and body armor to a flame thrower section. Yes, you read that correctly. The gun selection ranges from the usual AR-15 platform to a 50 BMG. There are several unique guns that I have not seen for display, let alone for sale, where I live. Thompson sub-machine guns, a gatlin gun, and a zombie apoclypse rig (complete with chainsaw). There are around 100 pistols on display, which are able to be handled on the sales floor. Everything from .22 LR - .50 AE, and collectors items (like a 1 of 500 ruger 1911) its extensive. The best part is that not every single gun is a Glock. If you are a biker, you will love the selection of patches. There are hundreds of them. Now, that said, the customer service is what sets the shop apart. This is a busy store, and 2 employees stopped in their tracks to answer my questions. Knowing that I was from out of state, they explained what would need to be done for me to purchase from the store. The gentleman that was helping me asked me if I wanted a beer while I was browsing, and I nearly s#it myself. There is a gun range to test anything you want before buying, a kids section with coloring books and entertainment, a free beverage refrigerator, and a staff that wants you to be happy without any pressure tactics. I didn't get to stop in on this trip but it's definitely planned for the next! These guys have built an amazing 2a enthusiast toy store, caution you will not leave without wanting everything! The first time I visited was just after the building opened for business, I was amazed at the quality and custom work these guys put into their product line! For the guys who like the DIY projects there are endless awesome parts to customize your builds, and for the ones that don't like to get your hands dirty they have some amazing bundles that you can't live without! The staff are awesome, they even let you try some of the toys out! The 2nd trip i was there during expansion of the building and they offered to let us try out the backpack flame thrower! The prices are great here, the people are great here, the guns are amazing here! If I ever find myself traveling through the area you can bet I won't miss another opportunity to stop by! This is one of the coolest places I have been in. Almost comparable to Bass Pro but in a different way. I have a shotgun that my grandpa passed down to me and it would not eject shells. I had taken it to a couple different gun stores and nobody could figure it out, until I came to Mountainside. Jeff is the best in the area hands down and gave me info to what was causing the problem so that I would not have to bring the gun back to them! I respect the fact that it is not just a temporary fix to ensure business in the future, and I could not be happier. Jeff showed me the common issues with my model of gun and explained to me why I was having the issue as well as how to prevent it in the future. No other gunsmith has done that for me in the past. When I do decide to buy another gun, it will hands down be with them. Customer service was great, the work was quality, and the PRICES are unbelievably GOOD.
