How shall i start about this Renaissance faire.
If you visit faires and don't like to interact with vendors, entertainers, or performers, then i would say this is not for you.
If you love to interact with people like vendors, performers, craftsmen, musicians, etc. THIS IS FOR YOU.
I personally would describe this faire as a "hidden" gem or hole-in-the-wall faire. Once you find it, you are going to love it.
They have been around for 19 seasons, with 2025 marking their 20th anniversary. 2024 season had over 70 vendors. Not including multiple artisans, craftsmen, stage performers, or lane performers. Bird of prey show, highland cattle, history lessons, or storytellers, pottery, and many more.
For all ages, they have a new quest list each weekend. Rat pucking ( a medieval way of "golf.") Magicians, puppeteers, live action battle shows, and many more interactive options.
Food and drinks can be found around the faire ground. Alcohol can be found at the pirate bar ( where else).
I consider this a "smaller faire" but unique and idyllic. Also very, very interactive with the patrons.
Most faires we ( my wife and i) have been to are very much commercialized. Not this one by far. Entrance for an adult was $10 and $5 for children. Try to find that at other faires.
This faire gives you the vibe of being in an actual medieval town where you are visiting your relatives and friends.
Concluding our first time at this faire. Warm, welcoming, family-friendly, fun, interactive. WE...
Β Β Β Read moreA great little Southern Missouri Renaissance Faire. Although wearing armor in the summer heat, the 'wow' factor is worth it. Generally speaking, Missouri is not exposed to some of the higher, finer points of Living History, and it appears that most goers settle for easy entry-level pirates, fairies and fantasy characters. So, when America's first official Polish Winged Hussar shows up in period-correct armor, the presentation is somewhat overwhelming to every patron. Because such historical significance and presentations are extremely important but rare in the US, such representations are absolutely necessary to keep it alive. My presentation has been featured on the History Channel program series "Museum Secrets" and can be seen on Amazon Prime and Hulu. The Moscow State Museum episode. It's always a pleasure despite the effort of wearing the armor; it would be nice if other bigger Missouri Renaissance Fairs would have the courtesy of a reply when I try to contact them to see if they would appreciate my presentation at their Renaissance Fairs as well. I reach out and sadly,...
Β Β Β Read more12+ years of enjoying the White Hart Ren Faire!!!! It was my very first Ren Faire as a food vendor many years ago. My family has not served food now in many years, but I now have an alter ego and perform as the Ren Faire Friar at several Midwest Ren Faires. Many of the other Faires are larger, but you'd be hard pressed to find a more family friendly Faire. Lots of activities to participate in, many good shows. Lots of food vendors usually 5+ these days (when I first started it was just my family food truck for food). Give White Hart a chance, if you see Friar Joseph (me) say hello!!! I love to visit with all the patrons. I specialize in discussing monastic medicine as it was Friars and Monks who often served as physicians in those days. Sometimes I even bring my collection of 120 medicinal herbs and my scary looking medical tools. In addition to the history lessons, I tell jokes and sing songs of olde. See you at the...
