This lodge is a uniquely incredible experience on the Eastern Shore. Our group did the 2 day hunt and it was epic from the moment we got into the blind. The lodge was impeccable, the setting was picturesque, guides were excellent, dogs were outstanding, the food was absolutely delicious, and the owners - Gary and Peggy - clearly take immense pride in their lodge and the entire experience. We were all genuinely impressed with everything from the moment we arrived. I've taken day trips to Blackwater NWR and Hoopers Island with motorcycle groups many times over the years...this weekend I went with a kayak group. We stayed 3 fabulous nights at Riverside Lodge. I always wondered what was beyond the dead end where we stopped on the bikes for a photo op then turned around. Now I know...beautiful sandy beaches, grassy marshes, snails, crabs, herons, egrets, terrapin turtles, water snakes, ospreys, redwinged blackbirds and schools of cow-nosed rays! Can't wait...

Gary and Peggy were fantastic! The cottage was adorable, peaceful, quiet and everything we needed right in the water and the Lodge was full of history and is well worth a tour. The fishing trip was my favorite! Gary and his first mate, Boyd were the absolute best!!! We caught our quota in no time and got to enjoy a ride on the bay....
