If I could give Emily more than 5 stars I would! She did my hair and makeup for our family photo shoot in Maui. I’ve had my makeup done many times but she by far did the best job!! The makeup artists I’ve had in the past would listen to my vision but still do what they were comfortable with and layer my face with makeup. My youngest son told me I looked like a weird zombie after having my makeup done at the last wedding I was in! Not with Emily! She listened to my vision asked me what I was comfortable with before and during the process. I do not wear foundation ever and every make up artist I’ve had will layer it on (hence weird zombie face) but Emily told me it was my choice if I didn’t want foundation she wouldn’t put any on. She did say she had an airbrush option that if I was comfortable she could lightly use that. I trusted her in the process and she did do a light coating! It didn’t look like make up at all and I received my son’s seal of approval, he said you look beautiful mom! My husband said the way she did my hair was one of his favorite all time favorite looks on me! Emily is also sweet as pie and super fun to talk to! Overall I felt super beautiful, she made my vision come true, no weird zombie face and my pictures are amazing! The worst part of the whole experience was when I had to wash my makeup off that night, because I was feeling myself, I felt like more people needed to see me lol!! Emily was absolutely wonderful and a delight to work with! I highly recommend her!!! She did hair and makeup for myself and my daughter for a family photo shoot that we were having while vacationing in Maui. It was truly such a blessing to have the stress of those 2 things eliminated that day and especially in a climate we are not used to! I loved how Emily worked with both of us individually and carefully listened and adjusted to each of our personal styles in makeup and hair. She was amazing at creating looks for us both that stayed true to our own personalities and taste. And in the end we were very highly satisfied and really loved everything she did!!! We only hired her to help the 2 of us, but she was also willing to help and give some advice on a couple of things for my younger daughter and husband that day too! We were so incredibly grateful for that little bit of help!! We only got to know Emily over email and on that one day for a short period of time, but we could definitely tell that she is a beautiful person inside and out! For starters, besides being obviously a hair working goddess. You need to know that Emily is SO KIND COOL AND FRIENDLY. As soon as she walks in she’s like a long lost friend you just talk and talk and talk to. I’ve had my hair and/or makeup done dozens of times and no one has ever been as nice or warming as Emily was and that stood out to me among everything else. Now back to hair, she did an amazing job. I gave her some photo examples and when she had questions I just told her to do whatever she thought was best and it turned out better than I could have imagined and my hair had never looked better.
