I skydived here 3 years ago and was in the neighborhood yesterday and realized I didn't leave a review.

I had always wanted to sky dive, but wanted to have an amazing view when it first happened. In Fiji some years back I was suited up and ready but the weather turned bad and I couldn't jump. The first two days in Hana, similar issues with clouds (you have to be able to see the landing zone) resulted in rescheduling for the next day. I ended up doing the powered hang gliding on day two. The Maui Skydiving staff were great with communicating all the options and patience paid off where it was finally time to jump. The wait was well worth it!

My instructor was exceptionally helpful and reassuring with all the prep and while in the plane. I'm pretty chill but you can't help but get nervous in a tiny plane climbing into the sky only to jump out. Luckily he was super calming and made me feel at ease.

The views were absolutely stunning! It was a very cloudy March day where a window popped up around 430pm. After taking off over the ocean and escaping into the clouds we see a low sun as we get above the clouds. Then you see Haleakala, the summit and surrounding shield volcano peaking above an ocean of clouds. Haleakala was an island in the sky. Absolutely incredible.

And then, you jump! That free fall was one of the most exhilarating experiences ever. You're falling and screaming and loving every moment of it. The chute opens and then you have a relaxing ride down after 20 seconds of pure ecstasy.

I can't recommend enough. Buy the videos/photos. I didn't as I had paid for them with the powered hang glide and thought I'd save money/they'd look the same. It was totally a different experience and one worth capturing. This photo is from their Instagram that kind of looks like what I experienced...

If you’re questioning skydiving, do it! Jumping out of a plane is a unique and breathtaking adventure, to which you will only understand if you experience it yourself. There is no view in the world quite like dropping out of the sky on top of the gorgeous island of Maui!

Regarding who to jump with: these are your guys! They genuinely care about your experience. My girlfriend and I did the photo and video package, and we are glad we did. We can relive this amazing experience over and over for a lifetime!

When you do get ready to travel to Hana, whatever time your navigation app gives you as an estimated arrival, that is the soonest you will get there. The road is an experience itself. I also recommend that you either schedule allowing yourself around 6-8 hours on the way there, or the way back, to travel and enjoy the road to Hana and all it has to offer itself. My girlfriend and I drove the entire road to Hana doing most stops the first day we were there, only to drive it twice more during our trip to do activities. The road to Hana is a ton of fun, but you don’t need to make the 5 hour round trip 3 times during your limited time on Maui.

Lastly, I urge you to keep in mind that the weather is volatile in Maui, especially around Hana. Maui Skydiving, although they wish they could, does not get to order the weather day in and day out. So, refrain from giving them a hard time if the weather does not cooperate. They also care about your safety and their own. I recommend scheduling the jump early in your vacation, allowing you to be rescheduled later during your...

10/10 would do again! I always said if I were to go skydiving it would have to be in Hawaii. This was my first time so of course I was a bit nervous but the crew was exceptionally calm and high energy. They answered all my questions and took care of us. On the day of, we had a 50/50 chance of jumping and they let us know ahead of time before we drove out there if we wanted to chance it. Since we were going to make the drive to Hana anyways, we decided to go. We had a few people jump ahead of us who landed right on target so this eased our nerves even more. I jumped with Ad (Ed?). He was the Brazilian guy who was super energetic and definitely lived for the thrill. The plane ride up was the only scary part but don't psyche yourself out by thinking of the worst. These guys are professionals and will not risk your or their safety. The weather ended up clearing up so we were able to jump. They definitely feed off your energy, so give the guys space and confidence to do what they need to do and you'll be fine! Everything happens so fast that you barely have time to be scared. You don't get the drop in your stomach like you do on roller coasters. It really just feels like you're flying or going super fast on a motorcycle. They let you drive the parachute a bit. The landing was very easy as well, we just planted our feet on the ground. You can't get a better view anywhere in the world than thousands of feet in the air; let alone a view from that high up in Hawaii. There's a reason why we're all smiling in the photos! It's a FUN and AMAZING experience!...

This is one of the top two most exciting things I have done in my life. Thank you to the whole team at Skydive Maui for the excitement that I experienced today. I highly recommend this for any of the thrill seekers out there, even if you are not a thrill seeker this is a must do on any bucket list! Will update when I get more videos and pictures.
