Old school tourist point of interest. Don't get me wrong: mother nature is beautiful. However, the facilities are from the 1970s (old walkways that meander to create excitement before the big reveal), and I believe it costs $5 per person to enter. So, it comes off as a tourist trap because the price is too steep to see a point-y mountain in the mist. Like, driving through a redwood tree or seeing a geyser. In the moment you'll say, well, you're only here once, so we might as well! You can reason that the $5 dollars go to the islands....

Have a small river running from the mountain and can swim also and spend couple of hours relaxing and enjoying the nature. The only issue is parking and don’t know how safe it’s there to park...

Pricey but worth it to do at least once. Very cool to see and lots of fresh cool air to escape to on a crazy hot Hawaii day.
The short garden path is looking a bit sad but perhaps this is related to time of year and...
