My daughter started going to The Kids Place right before she turned two. She had never been to any daycare before and I was nervous that I wouldn't feel comfortable with anybody taking care of my child. We interviewed at seven different daycares before finally choosing The Kids Place. Jodi was the first director that got down on my daughter's level and started trying to interact and play with her on our first meeting. At the second meeting, my daughter was playing with the other children, not wanting to leave. It is a smaller daycare with more one-on-one contact. There are two teachers assigned to the toddler class (approximately 10 children) along with the director, Jodi. It has been 10 months now, and my daughter has learned so much in such a short time - out of nowhere she will start counting to twenty, saying her ABCs, pointing out colors and shapes, telling me the day of the week, or singing a song that she has learned in class. She wakes up everyday excited to go to "school" and see her teachers. Everyday Miss Jodi is there to greet the children with a big hug. All of the teachers really seem to love their job and love each one of the kids. I was surprised at how quickly my daughter adjusted to going to daycare and how quickly I started to really trust and feel comfortable with the school. I highly recommend The Kids Place!
*2022 Update - After 7 years of enrollment, I would still highly recommend The Kids Place! Both of my daughters went to The Kids Place - my first starting right before the age of two and my second at 12 weeks old. My girls had the opportunity to grow and learn through the three classrooms (baby, toddlers, and pre-school) at The Kids Place until moving on to kindergarten. Each classroom had teachers that showed love and patience to my kids and helped prepare them for elementary school. The teachers were very communicative each day and would send pictures (or post on the private FB page with my permission) throughout the day, which I appreciated as a working mom. I always felt like I knew what the girls had been up to before I picked them up. I still cherish the pictures and videos I received of my girls learning a new skill or interacting with friends when they were little. The teachers were well prepared each day to provide creative and fun activities for the kids that made learning enjoyable. Ms. Stacy in the pre-school room worked hard to prepare the kids to enter kindergarten. The girls still like to visit whenever we...
Read moreOur family has been at The Kids Place for about 10 years and we have so many good things to say. When they say it takes a village to raise your children, its true and Jodi and all the teachers at TKP have been part of our village. Our oldest started at TKP just shy of 1 year old after switching from a larger daycare center. The switch was one of the best decisions we made for our children and we never looked back. Our second child started at 4 months, and is now 7, and our youngest started around 5 months, and is now 5, and finishing up the K4 program before heading to kindergarten this fall. The teachers are loving and caring, but also help each student grow and excel every day. The smaller facility allows the teachers to provide full attention and nurture each and every child. When our oldest excelled at puzzles and math, they found other ways to challenge him. We knew that when our older two were off to kindergarten, they were more than ready. We also love that their programs are faith based. The 4K program is excellent. We have always felt our children are safe, loved and nurtured. While our oldest has aged out and no longer attends, he still comes with me to pick up our younger two and tells me he misses TKP. He wants to always say hi to Ms. Jodi and the other teachers. I know our other two will feel the same when they age out and it’s strange to think we’re getting to the end of our time at TKP. We are beyond blessed to have The Kids Place in our lives and highly...
Read moreSo let me start off and say i absolutely love this place, my little one started going here in February and she was only 8 months old now as any mother would be i was a total wreck about leaving her there with people who i didnt even know but from the very first time there i've always felt like we were just family, they were always so sweet with her and did anything to make it a easy transition for both of us :) , now almost 2 months later she loves to go! i get pictures daily of her playing with the other babies, shes always happy and actually enjoys being there, and to make things better i got closer with everyone there so its an even better feeling to drop her off everyday now because i know shes well taken care of and shes also having fun! So with that being said i would totally recommend this place to anyone who has kids that need a daycare!! its a great place all around!! and im just thankful we...
