Food Lion — Local services in Maxton

Food lion is always my first choice for grocery shopping, it's so much smaller & alot less crowded than any other grocery stores but still big enough to have the stuff & the name brands you want & need. I can always guarantee I'm going to be able to get in, go straight to what I want/need cause it's always so easy to find, get in one of the many checkout lines open to choose from & if there is a line at all it's moving really quickly & you won't be waiting long. Never had issues with rude or disrespectful employees & the stores are always neat clean & comfortable. The prices are absolutely amazing especially their buy one get one sales & their mvp sales you save so much money by just swiping your loyalty card. I will always shop at food lion & I'll always recommend it to any family, friends or acquaintances...

Today I went to the deli in this food lion it wasn't my first visit I go weekly I order inspiration ham and inspiration oven baked Turkey as usual I asked slice number 4 they lady asked if I was sure stated that's thick with smirk I said yes please after she completed my order I asked for small samples of bologna she stated I don't have one open and if you are not buying I can't open it I stated you have a sign that's say ask for sample she looked at me as though she say ghost and said ok I'll cut u a piece I said never mind she repeated I said never mind and walked away poor...

Cashiers should prioritize customer service and communication. It is not the customer’s responsibility to figure out if you are open or to do your job for you. Turning on your light and speaking clearly to customers is part of providing good service. Guessing your intentions is not my role, nor should customers overhear complaints about being open. Showing respect and professionalism goes a long way, especially when this may be a great job opportunity for someone as old as yourself in this town.
