Scag Power Equipment — Local services in Mayville

Look at my yard! Our mower is officially 8 years old this month and the repair shop has had it almost EVERY YEAR since we bought it new. We have 3 acres and in 8 years, the mower only has 239 hours on it. It is stored inside our heated garage. Everything from bad wire harness, PTO switch (over and over) and now the hydraulics. I've left a message with the corporate office but am not holding my breath for a call back or any kind of relief. In the meantime, my yard continues to grow and I'll have to pay someone...

I do not recommend purchasing any SCAG commercial power equipment. With-in the 3 year non-commercial warranty the paint/powder coat, along with controls started showing corrosion and failure. The machine has always been stored in a garage, never left outside or used in the rain and only used for my lawn. I never got satisfaction with SCAG concerning this defect and customer service was inconsistent with all parties involved. Avoid an inconsistent experience and do not purchase any SCAG commercial...

I thought I was buying the top of the line zero turn mower and it was a mistake. I retired after 46 years as a mechanic and have been mower grass since 1965. I emailed the factory customer service department over some issues and I'm sure I was either talking to someone with very little mechanical experience or he just didn't care about the customer. There are some factory assembly issues and design issues they could improve upon but the person that emailed me back did not show...
