I can’t get over what a wonderful experience my son and I had today! We ordered a meal to share (avocado toast with eggs, bacon and red hots). The ladies were so incredibly nice and helpful in making sure that our order was prepared just as we wanted it. They even thought ahead and brought us two plates and two settings of silverware without having to be asked so we could share as opposed to eating off one plate. The food was delicious! We will definitely be going back soon. We also purchased a pint of their Brunswick stew. It’s some of the best we’ve ever had!

I just experienced Knight's market on the square in McDonough. It was amazing they have old time tomato soup like Grandma used to make. They call it grilled cheese tomato soup and it is fabulous. I also had the fried green tomato BLT sandwich on sourdough bread with their special Mayo, amazing. This Eatery also has a beautiful garden where the mums and all of the greenery outside is for sale. Inside is the cutest country time market, you will love it.

It was my first time going to this place, great customer service, beautiful plants, and great different selections of foods and desserts, and I love that they the Amish butter. Just a great and awesome environment to buy plants and veggies. The cakes here are to die for, they are so good. I’m sold and will be a customer for life…………

I wish negative stars was an option.

One of my very dear friends had an awful experience at the location in downtown McDonough today. She, a black woman, went there for lunch and whoever the older white man and older white woman were that were working this afternoon made their racism incredibly apparent. My friend said hello and was ignored, and when she said she’d like to place an order the man responded by pointing to the door and very harshly saying ā€œyou’ll have to eat out there or take it to go.ā€ There are no signs posted advising patrons that indoor seating is not available, nor that food must be taken to go or eaten outside. She was obviously surprised by this but advised the man she planned to take her order to go. He rang her up and she walked around the store while waiting for her food. Meanwhile, a white coworker of ours that was also there got immediate, friendly attention from the man and woman, and when she placed her order she was not given the same harsh warning about needing to eat outside or take her food to go. The woman was friendly and chit chatty with our coworker, but wouldn’t even make eye contact with my friend when giving her her food. ļæ¼My friend also noticed that the woman kept eyes on her as she was walking around the store. They saw my friend and coworker come in together and saw them interacting with each while in the store, yet treated them in two completely different ways, very obviously based on skin color.

I’m sure plenty of people have had good experiences here, but I (and so far about 40 other people that have heard about this incident) will not ever give that place the time of day. I sincerely hope these people acknowledge their nasty behavior and make changes accordingly. The BBB and relevant city and county entities have been informed of...

Came away disappointed after today’s visit. Very limited selection indoors for produce. More of a nursery than a farmers market. But the real issues were…

My wife and I picked up some fresh pickles and a quart of fresh peaches. We would have gotten more but the selection of fresh produce was extremely limited. When we got to the checkout the cashier - who doesn’t know us - asked if my wife was pregnant. She is not. This was hurtful and inappropriate, and kind of shocking to say the least. I know she was probably joking based on the odd pairing of selections, but it was quite disturbing and unexpected.

They also dropped their military discount, which was a nice perk. But I understand the fiscal reasoning behind that change.

I knocked off two stars for a lack of fresh produce. I knock off another for a lack of decorum. Knights can and...
