Walmart — Local services in McGehee

It was a Walmart as they go. Underwhelming at best. Long lines in check out. Self check out was total chaos. Have to watch produce and pick through it as like most Walmart's around this country, they offer us stuff that other markets reduce or throw out cause is going bad or badly bruised. Quality sucks acrossed the board. No customer care or quality goods. They aren't saving you money. They are ripping you off. Yes you may save 2 cents on that head of lettuce but in 2 days you will have to toss it and by buy more. Just go to your local market and have the assurance that it will be useable for the entire week. Use walmart for can goods ,electronics, cleaning supplies etc.... it's all they are good for anyways. If they can't pull slimy lettuce or molded fruits off the shelves, then they shouldn't be dealing in fresh foods. Not only are they wasting your time and your money. But is going to make people sick. Probably the smallest walmart I have ever seen, it shocks all our out of town guests when they stop in. It is incredibly limited on options and no fresh food at all which is very frustrating, but also probably limited due to store size as well as our town's needs withe there being so few stores. I wish I could get the items I end up having to drive to Greenville or Monticello for. You really have to drive to get to any store that actually has anything decent or more than two options to choose between. Only gripe besides selection, there never seems to be anyone around to assist in the electronics department so we do try to avoid buying any of that in store. Probably just our bad luck with that. Store itself is always clean, especially the bathroom. The employees are usually incredibly friendly, but of course everyone has a bad day every once in a while. Still shop here weekly just hope one day they expand the store just a tad and get some...

Very clearly advertising a free phone promotion in multiple locations yet employee refused to honor, 1st flat out lied about the promotion having ended when it clearly stated good into 2026 so many months left on promotion. Then when asked why she lied and not going to honor promotion employee got upset and rude and said "look, don't know how many ways I can say it, I'm not going to honor the promotion here, it's not my promotion not my problem, don't like it you can go buy phone at a different loction." Clearly management can't control their people and clearly this walmart is ok with illegal...
