Redwood is one of my favorite National Parks for its variety of natural features. Here you'll find some of the world's tallest trees standing watch over sandy shoreline and grassy estuary.

The Visitor Center is only a few minutes drive off CA Hwy 101. The rangers and crew are friendly and will happily give visitor advice, accept your report of large mammal -- bear -- encounters, or recognize your kiddie companions as official juniors.

The bathrooms are clean and essy to access if you're looking for a convenient pit stop to rest and take a break on an extended road trip. They also have the usual assortment of tshirts, animal stuffies, and ranger hats to keep your adorable trekkers looking their...

We had a couple things in mind of what to do and our kids love to do the jr ranger badges. The ranger who helped us (her name started with a M and her last name started with a L, I feel so bad I forgot it) We were going to do a trail that is covered in water and not very family friendly at the moment so she pointed us in the right direction. We ended up doing Lady Bird Johnon Grove trail, Circle Trail, Prairie creek visitor center and Ah Pah and took the Newton B Drury Scenic Parkway. This is a great place to start if you...

What a great information service center!!! I just got out of the visitor center!!! was confused with which trails to pick for our short journey today and I was lucky to meet Karla ! She was exceptional in knowledge and super friendly and helpful in giving suggestions and informations, even the details of the trails on maps! She also guided us to download and use National park App and told us it’s features and how to use them all with patient and it’s super helpful! Truly appreciated her great service today! Thank you...

The ocean or giant trees in a forest, it doesn't matter where as long as it's nature. #redwoodnationalandstateparks #redwoodnationalpark #beach #pacificcoast #relax

If spending time in the redwoods area, this location offers a stop to get maps to the major groves in the area. The visitor center staff is very knowledge as well as helpful in giving you history of the area and the major redwoods groves to see. For those leading groups this stops offer restrooms and a large parking lot to get some photos. You can access the beach at this location, and you can see what they mean when it is the harsh Northern California coast.

Nice place set the standard in its day, may need to be remodel but has a lot of good in it. Rangers are great.
