I don't promote bashing other businesses but I do feel it's appropriate to give honest reviews when we have negative experiences...hopefully to prevent someone else from the same situation. I'm a professional photographer and I took my senior rep team to 5G Farms (Pumpkin Patch) this week and it was not what I expected at all. 5G has started allowing photographers to pay a fee and use the space for photo shoots.
Unfortunately, the main pumpkin area was in poor condition. The pumpkins were very sparse compared to what I've seen advertised and many of them were moldy/rotted. I understand that we are getting later into the season, but as a paying customer using the space for photographs, I did expect the area to be more photo worthy. One of my clients left with stained pants from a leaky pumpkin. I wish I had been given notice that the pumpkin patch wasn't in good shape and at least given the opportunity to cancel my reservation for a refund. When I arrived, I wasn't greeted by any staff and never saw anyone while we were there so I wasn't able to address it in person. We decided to stay and get what shots we could. With strategic angles and hopefully my editing skills I think I was able to get some usable shots.
I emailed the owner to address my concerns and his reply was a very lengthy, and very unprofessional list of why it looked the way it did. He accused me of lying when I told him that my clients were not charged for this session. He told me I should have booked earlier in the season if I wanted it to look like what they advertise {I don't understand why they are still allowing photographers to book it for $50 per hour and not letting them know the condition it's in}.
He also told me that he has had multiple photographers out this week and they are extremely happy with their experience. If that was you, then that is great. I felt like personally it wasn't worth $100 (for 2 hours), and I wish someone had warned me (also wish I would have checked google reviews!)
$100 worth of pumpkins in my backyard would have been money better spent.
But honestly the way the owner handled it was the worst part. I actually liked their dirt road/driveway and would have come back just to use that alone, but his reply was so incredibly combative, I would never do business...
Read moreThe place is so unorganized! I felt like I was in a junk yard. The employees looked like they hated their jobs- (looked like plenty of employees, so no “shortage”) Parking & admission was free to enter, you pay for tickets if you want to feed the animals or do the corn maze. (Over priced- everything) The pumpkin patch was in the most odd spot. No good photo spots- if they put the pumpkins in the far back where the corn maze was that would be a photo opportunity spot! The food was over priced & not good. The “hay ride” was a truck pulling a trailer from the parking lot to the pumpkins. We would expect a hay ride to be something more unique- maybe a tractor? They had a few vendors which was probably the best thing about the place. lol We would not...
Read moreWe had an absolutely fantastic experience at 5G Farms Pumpkin Patch! We brought our clients for an annual appreciation event at the pumpkin patch, and it was the perfect setting. The farm is beautiful, family-friendly, and filled with fun activities for all ages. The staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making the day run smoothly. Our clients had an amazing time picking pumpkins, enjoying the hayride, feeding the goats, getting lost in the corn maze, getting there face painted, eating wonderful BBQ and just soaking in the fall atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our event. We highly recommend 5G Farms for anyone looking to create...
