Customer service is very rude and blames you for any issue rather than even trying to help. Internet constantly slows or stops running entirely. I have my own modem and router and both are some of the best you can get for online gaming. They will tell you it's your systems or router if the internet goes down but it is 100% them. They bought my old internet provider in which I paid 50 dollars a month for no data cap and the internet rarely ever shut down or slowed. Since they took over the prices have almost doubled or worse, and the service is terrible. It is 110 dollars a month for unlimited internet now, and that isnt even on the fastest speed they have available, because the higher speeds don't have the option for unlimited. They call their cap a "data allotment" because they don't shut it off if you reach it, but it's a cap. You will be charged an extra ten dollars for every 50 gigabytes over the CAP. Their prices are awful, their customer service is awful, and their internet is awful. Unfortunately in my area, they are the only provider. If I could get spectrum I would. If you ha e the option do not get Armstrong. Oh, one last thing. When they first took over they kept the pricing and service the same and said it would stay that way for existing customers, but failed to mention when they did change that I would be charged extra for the difference of the bill, and took away the unlimited option I had before. They never notified me of the change, they just started charging me more. When I asked, they basically told me it was my fault because they sent a letter (they didn't) and I had the option to change things...
Read moreI NEVER write negative reviews on Google, but I am so beyond over this company. I wish I could give it 0 stars. If you can avoid dealing with this company by going with another internet or cable provider, PLEASE DO. We do not have another internet option, due to our location. We were contacted because they had to come and install one of their modems. We already had our own personal one that worked fine. Because of this request, I have had to reschedule 3 technician appointments because they have put in the "notes" to be there after a certain time, I rushed home from work, and they had already come. Technicians can only come out during a 2:00-4:30 window, which is NOT convenient for people who work. I even asked them to just drop off the modem, and we would just install it ourselves. They told us we would have to drive to the Meadville office which is extremely far from us. I was on hold each time for over 45 minutes, with terrible costumer service. I complained about the hassle caused by all of this, and they gave me a whole 5 dollar credit. I had to schedule the technician to come out on my day off from work, and to top it all off he ended up taking our own personal modem with him instead of leaving it. MISCOMMUNICATION AT IT'S FINEST FOR TWO MONTHS. So, I just had to call them again. As the saying goes, "the costumer is always first and right"....unless you're this company. I would switch in a heartbeat if we had another...
Read moreI like the internet service, but the customer service is horrible. I've had 4 lines put in in 2 years. The first was cut by Penelec. The second was cut by Armstrong when they buried the line. The third line had been laying across my yard and driveway for 7 months. All winter long. It's hard to plow a driveway while trying to not catch the line. It's also hard to mow the yard. We were told it would be expedited since it wasn't our fault. They kept saying we were at the top of the list. They finally just came to bury the line but for some reason instead of burying the third line, they put in a fourth line, buried it, and left the third line laying there still, along with a bunch of flags. According to customer service, that's their process. Between my husband and I, we both have called, emailed, and used the customer service chat about a dozen times trying to get...
