My first time there after referral from local friends for much needed Honda Brake job (F &B) following a much more $ hosing than expected from the dealer where I purchased the vehicle back in 2015. Father (Brian) & Son (Ben) small local business been there for years. They do my kind of work "every day." In and back on the road in 2.5 hours, leaving me with a safe vehicle to drive. Going back tomorrow for a belt change. Right from the get go the customer knows what types of automotive jobs/work they do/can do and on what vehicle brands - NO SAABs. They tell you up front the cost: parts & labor - very much appreciated when you're on a budget - They saved me very close to $1000.00 on a $2000.00 dealer quoted job. Unfortunately for me they do not do spark plugs, (rear) differential, valve adjustment - another $1000.00 @ dealer. Brian is very much work/business oriented/focused - NO time wasted on useless weather conversation - how terrifically refreshing. Ben is more easy going, but just as focused. Both are gems of old as is their small, 2 Bay, garage. These are working guys, not slick Dealer types with laptops working in a spa atmosphere - I ran from there to these guys, feel blessed there are still honest service providers out there. They charge $98/hour for labor, their waiting room has a nice flat screen, but the carpet needs a good serious vacuuming, a little dusting wouldn't hurt either. AND they need a bathroom for customers. For people who don't know - there is no public bathroom around other than The Village Pizzeria located across from Cumberland Farm at the traffic light and they open at 11 for lunch - also a great place to...
Read moreI went here a few years ago to make sure my brakes worked before an upcoming road trip. I called ahead of time and was told I could drop the car off first thing in the morning. I walked in right after they opened, no one was in the lobby, and they had Newsmax on with a note saying not to change the channel. It took a few minutes before anyone came to the desk. The man who walked in stared me dead in the eyes and didn't say a word. I was the only person there and waited quietly for about a minute while he did something behind the desk before saying I was here to drop my car off. I don't think he said more than 20 words the whole time I was there while I waited actual minutes between him asking me questions to check me in. A year later I went to get my car inspected at a dealership and they said I needed my brakes redone which is hilarious because I worked from home that entire year. Wouldn't be surprised if they...
Read moreIn July, my GMC Sierra wouldn't start and I called them. I was told to have it towed there on Wednesday and they would work on it Thursday. FIVE (5) weeks and MANY excuses later (One was: "Other people need their vehicle more than you, so we did theirs first.") I was called and told. "We couldn't find your problem, you will have to take it somewhere else." When I went in, I was presented with a $700.00 bill for labor and a slew of parts I didn't obviously need (I was lucky they didn't put in a new motor and billed me for that.) I had it towed to a dealer who had it fixed the next day, telling me "It was no big deal, just...
