Mr. Appliance of Brookings — Local services in Medary Township

While staying at my daughter’s home and caring for her pets, I discovered her refrigerator was not cooling and the freezer had frosted over. I’m not from the Brookings area, but I had used Mr. Appliance in my own town. I know, firsthand that not all franchises deliver the same level of service, but I was hopeful.

I was so impressed with Pete from Mr. Appliance of Brookings! From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Pete was professional, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Pete explained the issue in clear relatable, terms-never condescending, or overly technical-and made sure I fully understood the situation and the repair process. The quote matched the final invoice exactly and they arrived well within the projected time frames for both appointments.

What stood out most was Pete’s integrity and approachability. Pete answered every question, followed through on every detail, and truly earned trust through his communication and actions. Pete was friendly, efficient, skilled-and most of all, a genuinely kind and decent human being, which feels too rare these days.

My appliance technician was wonderful!! He was so sweet and respectful, even putting cloth covers on his shoes when he came into my house. He diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator immediately, and was able to quickly install the part needed after it came in. Only issue I had was that he came to install the part without the office having scheduled this visit prior; so I called and scheduled an appointment for another day. Ended up being able to have my technician come the same day I called, and my refrigerator is now running as it should. Impressed with their excellent service!! Always let me know a two hour span of time they would be here and then came on time. Repaired my 30 year old stove so it works like new even though the company quit making parts for it 15 years ago! And the stove certainly did not cooperate but the service people worked on it until it was perfect! And they gave me a dollar amount it would cost to fix it up front and even though they had to come back several times because of the stove so obstinate - the charges were spot on!

If I have to repair any other appliances I will be calling them! Could not be happier with their service and...
