Flying W Airport & Resort — Local services in Medford Township

This is a tough review to leave for I’ve been a regular at the Flying W pool for 10 years, even a season holder for some of those . I can’t go to bed not speaking up about a serious matter with the lifeguards. I would never forgive myself if something happened to a visitor and I didn’t go public with this. This season I’ve visited around 8 times this far and find it disturbing with the lifeguard’s use of their phones! Today I watched a lifeguard sit on her knees, looking down, watching her phone and not looking up ONCE for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes I walked over and told her to get off her phone, she legitimately removed her AirPods to hear me and was watching a SHOW!!! I complained about the exact lifeguard 3 weeks ago for being on the phone excessively and leaving constantly. To make matters worse she’s not the only one. If something happens to anyone at this pool, please know myself, and others have spoken up to the lifeguards directly, and management about the lifeguard issues. Great Entertainment, but they need more staff to cover a larger crowd. 20 minutes to get drink ordered, another 15 to order food. Still, no drinks brought out. Hour later finally got our drinks still waiting on food. If it weren't for the great entertainment we would have walked out! I think management thinks they save money, but truly I believe they loose money not having enough staff to cover when having entertainment. Also they should move the pool table to a corner and add tables upstairs and have more room for dancing when the have entertainment. Dancing creates a better atmosphere and your guests become more thirsty and hungry from dancing, thus more enjoyment for the guests and larger bills per table. Which means more money for the...

Beautiful pool, grounds and staff! Definitely will go again. Loved watching the planes come and go and the facilities were nice and clean. Appreciated that there was a family bathroom! Be aware, the seasonal members “claim tables” and even if you are there first, others will approach you and tell you to move. I had my 8 month old with me and thankfully another member offered us to sit at her table, since her family didn’t join her today, to avoid drama. I spoke with the pool staff about it and there is no such entitlement and I was told to make them aware next time it happens. Definitely put a damper on the first hour or so...
