This particular Dollar General store is cleaner than most any others. The shelves are normally well stocked, the restroom is clean, and shopping is pretty easy!!. The older gentleman who is a manager is always friendly and willing to assist. Evidently , a store manager was absent the week before Easter when I attempted to return a one gallon hand garden sprayer due to leakage on the bottom. There were the exact same garden sprayers on the top shelf at the Medford store. I had purchased the sprayer in Tonkawa at the Dollar General. I attempted to exchange it at the Medford store while I was there shopping. I was told by the two young men working that day that I was unable to return/exchange the sprayer at this store and that I had to return it to the Dollar General Store where I had purchased it!! The young man acting in charge (half shaved side of hair with the rest of his hair cut to a long pointed V- bleached blonde) and I argued a little about this policy...I even asked him WHEN Dollar General had started this policy!!?? Needless to say, I have returned the sprayer to the Dollar General store on Owen K. Garriott in Enid! The district manager of the store there is a personal friend of the manager of the store in Medford and assured me that she would know of this incident! As he was refundng my $$$ for the sprayer, he handed me my receipt and told me that the next time I was at the Medford Dollar General Store to show those two young guys the receipt and tell them they are "damn liars!!!" I asked him if I was to use those exact words! ...He repied...Yes! LOL ..He also showed me the $$ general store chat group where this incident had been reported and addressed! Needless to say, he told me he was pretty upset that I had been treated so poorly because a customer ALWAYS comes first!    Read moreSo I went to this store and never really cared for the customer service until here recently I specifically asked the women’s name who helped me, and not only did she help me but she did it with a very friendly attitude and made me feel like she genuinely cared, her name was Kenda, Kenda gave me as a customer something that you don’t get often and that was outstanding customer service. She didn’t make me feel like I was an inconvenience and knew what she was doing. She obviously cares about her job and strives to know the things she should to be able to help her customers, I assumed with how helpful she was that she was a manager but apparently she wasn’t. Which is unfortunate giving her availability to take care of her customers and to uphold a friendly and happy worker. If this store had any sense they would make her store lead and give her a raise to show appreciation for taking her job so seriously. I’ve gone back several times because this store is now my favorite because she made me feel comfortable and helped me. Again...
   Read moreI'm really surprised at all of the rude & vulgar comments. To me it sounds like a personal beef. We shop at Medford DG quite often and its always clean & well stocked. Sure, there have been times when things were low but if you've never worked in retail you wouldn't know that managers don't control what items get sent to the store.
