If the kids are wanting to go swimming and you don't want to pay waterpark prices. Make sure to visit Medina Recreation Center in Medina, OH. The last time I took Hannah she was about 5 years old and she loved it! It's just as fun as we remember it. 🫧 Very clean facility πŸ’¦ Body water slide Sat and Sun 12-5 πŸͺ£ Jungle Cove Big play structure with geysers, sprinklers and a tipping bucket and lion slide for little ones. πŸ₯ Whirlpool πŸ€ Large pool that goes from 3.6 ft up to 5ft max with basketball hoop πŸ”₯ Hot tub for ages 16 and over only. If no one is using it, press the green button βœ… on the wall to start the jets. It runs for 15 min and Hannah loved the bubbles and lights. 🐊 Sit on floating crocodile 🦺 Life vests to use 🌊 Life guards β™Ώ Handicap accessible 🌊 In the next room is diving boards and lap lanes 🌬️ Inflatable obstacle course only on select days March 23-24 April 13-14, 27-28 for ages 8 and up. 🚨 Underwater color changing lights *Not sure if this is the case all the time but they did not do safety breaks, so that was a plus, no interruptions. Looks like in the rules they do it 25 min to the hour at their discretion. Waterslide does not run until 12pm. πŸ’° Only 8.00 person, gives you full access to the day pass which includes gym, pool, track upstairs, and there is a room off near the entrance that has a rock climbing wall and fitness training equipment. @bring photo ID as it's required and you will have to sign in. Leisure pool with Jungle Cove opens on weekends at 9 am and various times on weekdays, slides open at 12. Check their website for days and times ahead. We had a blast, they have family changing rooms, and men's and women's locker rooms with showers and bathing suit spin dryers and sauna. Showers were clean, bring your own 🧼, 🧴.

I only visit once every so often when visiting my parents in Medina, but I love this rec center each and every instance I utilize it. Staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful, the equipment is spread apart/distanced accordingly to follow all the existing COVID-19 protocols. Masks are required by all members and guests. Staff are masked always. A day pass is only $7.00, which works perfectly for someone like me and my overtly sporadic use of the facility when home to visit. Great amount of cardio, weight machines, and free weight equipment, running/jogging/walking track, and other amenities to take advantage of. Overall....an excellent place to work out! πŸ’ͺπŸ™ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

The Medina Rec lifegaurds would rather my daughter not wear a life jacket then the one we just bought. She loved it, it kept her up and had a harness underneath it so she could swim freely they said it had to be coast gaurd approved and theirs were but when she wore their life jacket her face would go under and she coundt keep her self up. But shes allowed to not wear one?! Ridiculous! Shes 1 years old learning to swim. They should worry about their personal hygiene and personal fitness of thier staff before messing with an attended child having a blast.

UPDATE Could someone please explain why you recently shoved everything into one area? Went to work out in the usual spot, and you moved EVERYTHING into a small footprint. The free weight area went from a nice open space with room, to a extremely crowded area with ZERO room to move. You put tons of exercise bikes, treadmills etc in that space and made the free weight area way too small. I know that this was this way pre covid, but you put it all back plus some. With the prices that you charge, that addition you were looking to add is way past due. Please fix this or at least start construction on that addition. I don't want to leave because I love it there, but this new workout area is extremely crowded. The free weight area has 3 benches and there are always people using them or sitting on them while they scroll facebook. End of update

Great rec center with plenty of weights, exercise equipment and nice pool. Could use a bit of an expansion as they talked about doing a few years ago. Friendly atmosphere that welcomes people of all skill...

This was my first time visiting after seeing this place pop up on some Facebook groups, and mostly likely my last time.

We had a good time in the early morning. Once it hit noon, an older lady with gray hair and a lifeguard with blonde hair started scoping around the pool - they aggressively told me I needed to be in the water with my son (I have 3 kids, so I’m spread over trying to be there for all of them). I asked nicely was it his age/height because there were a bunch of kids in the water while parents sat on the benches, so I was confused as to what it was. The lifeguard goes β€œthere’s a huge sign right up there that tells you,” really rude like. I told her she didn’t have to be that rude. She honestly made me feel incompetent, when in reality this was my first time being here and no one said anything to us the entire morning. They both went on to be aggressively rude to others after, so we left. The whole situation could have just gone so much differently, especially being my...
