Wolf Pen Gap Cabins — Local services in Mena

We just got home from a fantastic stay at the Sleepy Bear cabin. This cabin was super clean, well thought out, and perfect for a family get away. The cabin is tucked away from the road and we felt like we were out in the middle of the forest away from everyone! The house is well stocked for cooking and plenty of extra bedding, pillows, and towels. If you have forgotten anything in your packing, you will probably find it already in the cabin. We enjoyed the fireplace area and the comfy chairs there and our kids loved the porch swing and particularly enjoyed the loft area with the bunk beds. This was our first time to the Wolf Pen Gap trails and this cabin was located in a great spot to ride out to the trails, and maps were even available at the cabin for us. Last minute family trip. Owners friendly, quick to respond, and very accommodating. Military discount offered. Allowed our dogs too (a new policy they are looking at implementing long term). It’s the little things that take an overnight stay from good to great… this place has it!!

Stayed at Grey Wolf Cabin. Outdoorsy pine and black bear theme throughout (e.g. pine cone cabinet knobs, metal grizzly bear door stoppers, etc.) Great use of small space.

Comfy bed. Various shapes/sizes, density of pillows. Extra blankets/towels. Strong water pressure in the shower- very refreshing and hot. Multiple areas to sit and enjoy the national forest (e.g. picnic table, outdoor lounge chairs, out door swing, indoor couches/benches, chairs, wood logs carved into chairs, etc. Starlink made me want buy one. High recommend....

I have stayed at two of their cabins multiple times over the years. Everything is always great. Cabins are clean, and wi-fi and tv worked fine. Recently got back from a trip on 6/19/25. Spent Sunday thru Wednesday and excellent access to Wolf Pen Gap Trails and local Side by Side rental if you need it. Looking to go back in the fall.
