Honestly...this should not reflect our nation as an apple or a harvest festival. What it is, is an overblown small town fair- from fair vendor booths to the food. Except one of the most tragic parts to this is that the food isn't even the good kind of fair food.
If you enjoy parking in a muddy field, being corralled onto a school bus, then get into a line and pay $10 so you have the opportunity to wait in lines up to 25 minutes for food or the petting zoo, by all means this is for you. If you want to go to an overpriced craft fair with a few haybails strewn about and the word "apple" plastered every 100 feet without much actual harvest spirit or fall fare, this is for you. In fact, most crafts or sales are everyday home decor, Lularoe, or Christmas. Did I mention the audacious lack of apple themed things? And the over saturation of things not at all related to apples or the fall season? Not to mention I didn't see one pumpkin, closest thing was a pumpkin funnel cake stand. But heck, there was wine, moonshine, French fries, Thai food, whoopie pies.. oh and a guacamole stand. Because hot dang, when I'm in the mood for fall I need to get my seasonal fill of avocado.
But what of the apples, you may say? Well the hot apple cider stand ran out at some point and only had water.. there was a statue of an apple and a person in an apple mascot costume.. there were lackluster apple fritters I paid $4 a pop for with no glaze or cinnamon.. oh, or you could wait 10 minutes for a shot at making a purchase at the singular apple baked goods stand. There was even a Patriotic puppet show. But why??Who is this trying to appeal to? Who does this appeal to? Certainly not fall enthusiasts.
Just an experts tip, the bathrooms onsite at the fair grounds are closed. There are only port a potties. Go as early as possible, don't go in any later than 11am. I saw girls running out in fear, begging for hand sanitizer from passerbys.
My ultimate advice, do not go to this. Not at all. Go to a small scale fall fest or a pumpkin patch. Stay home and bake or do crafts. Light some apple spice candles and watch horror movies. This was a horrendous waste of time and money.

Read moreThis was our 1st Time at the Festival. It was everything I expected. So many booths of Crafts, Vendors, & Food! We were so OVERWHELMED w how many CHOICES of APPLE 🍎🍏 PRODUCTS that were Available! It was so NICE! Apple Sauce in 3 Different Flavors, Apple Donuts, 2 Different Apple Pies, Apple Dumplings, Apple Cakes, Apple Bread, Apple Sausage, Hot Apple Cider, 3 Different Flavors of Cold Apple Cider, & of Course, Many different APPLES!!!! 🍎🍏🍎🍏 Plus, SO MUCH MORE!!!! This was of course the Highlight of the Festival, but there was other Food as well. Burgers, Fries, Walking Tacos, Lots of different Beef options, Pork Options, & Different Dessert Options as well, like Cinnamon Rolls! YUM! 😋 We went on a Rainy Day, so there wasn't as many people there, which was so NICE, but it was TERRIBLY MUDDY EVERYWHERE! You take the Good w the Bad, I Guess. We didn't care, our shoes & clothes can be washed. We parked in a Field, (Thank God for our 4 Wheel Drive Truck on this RAINY MUDDY Day!) Then got on a School Bus which took us only a Mile or so down the Road. (It was a Very Short Trip). The one thing I saw that others had, that I wished we would've brought was a WAGON/Cart of some sort, to put their Purchases into. Such a Good Idea! Gallons of Cider, Apples, & everything else we bought got real heavy to lug around after awhile. We're Definitely bringing ours next year. All in all, we had a GREAT TIME! ALL 3 of my kiddos found "STUFF" they liked at the Craft & Vendor Booths, so they each ended up w something SPECIAL. We all found something Food wise we liked. My Daughter got a Bacon Cheeseburger & my son got a Walking Taco, while the rest of us SNACKED on Homemade Jerky/Slim Jim's (there were at least 2 stands at the Festival), Apple Sauce, Funnel Cakes, Cider, Root Beer, & whatever Else we Could Find (there was SO MUCH & SO MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS!!) EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! We will DEFINITELY Be Back Next Year! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING. Take a Look online to see for yourself. Please support this Community Festival. We Loved it! 🍏❤️🍏 THE NATIONAL APPLE ...
Read moreI was disappointed. Very little tractors and hit n miss engines. Not very exciting to younger children. The hour long line for petting zoo had great interactive livestock but way to crowed for the barn it was housed in. We did go in the barn that had all the toss stations even though it said 10 and up. I was comforted to see other children toddlers and babies joining in we stayed in this area for an hour plus and other than the teenagers at some stations for guidance their was only 1 group that had children maybe 8 and 10 they had interest for maybe 8 minutes. The friendship bracelet hit n miss engine got more interest. The hit n miss Apple peeler was cool and very interactive till our little guy was covered in warm Apple sauce he enjoyed for a buck money well spent for him to get the complete picture of the engines use. I would loved having a wash station and more seating would have been nice. For all the booths not enough seating and way to long of lines. The food and novelties were awesome sorry we couldn't have enjoyed spending more time and money way to many ppl an long lines to enjoy. The scraple sausage and pudding was awesome and they stored our purchases until we were ready to leave. Wish we would have gotten our breakfast sandwiches to go they were hard to enjoy with the crowd and no...
