Extremely happy with my experience at Sullivan’s Ace Hardware!! My old trusty snowblower finally bit the dust and it was time to upgrade. I went down to Ace and they had an impressive selection for being a small town store. The team was knowledgeable about their products and helped answer my questions. The snowblower I purchased was assembled already and just needed gasoline, but that’s not even the best part of my experience! After I paid for the snowblower and went to leave, it wouldn’t fit in my vehicle. The manager came out and said he would follow me home in his truck and deliver it for me (I live just across town)!! Now that’s service! I’m so glad I didn’t have to run to Peru and navigate the big, impersonal, box stores trying to get what I needed to tackle this snow! I took an aluminum window frame to have the glass replaced. I was assured by the manager they would have it done in one day, or by at the latest, by the end of the week. I left the window frame and went home.

About 30 minutes later I received a call that they would not be able to repair the window and to come pick it up.

When I returned, I was told to go to the back and pick it up. When I picked the frame up, the frame came apart. It seems they broke the clips that hold the frame together. No explanation, no manager visible. I decided it was futile to ask and possibly get upset, so I just to took my business to Dixon Glass. This Ace Hardware is a favorite of ours. We have worked with several employees that take care of our questions and needs diligently during our visits. My last visit I had the pleasure of working with Wayne in the paint department. He was so helpful with finding TSP for me, which is a pre-wood cleaner before painting. He answered all my paint questions like what's latex paint. He helped me find a hard cabinet, door & trim paint. He mixed the pigment in for one of the cans.
