Lucky's — Local services in Menlo

I love Lucky’s. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, they have a nice selection of everything , their meats are great quality, wide variety of beautiful produce, they even have an organic section now, and buy from local farms during season, the deli food is super tasty. My most favorite part is their selection of bread. They carry the best onion buns, bistro sourdough and French bread loaf that I have ever been able to get even thru wholesale suppliers. This is my go to store for shopping for my food truck. There have been times where I’ve needed something that they didn’t carry, and as soon as I asked they ordered so it’s there every week when I go shopping....

At first I figured this small grocery store to be adequate at best, and the default store in Menlo, as there aren't many other options nearby. I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Aside from the normal staples of food (at reasonable prices), the deli is what sets it apart from "just another country bumpkin grocery store".

Aside from serving a full breakfast and several options for lunch/dinner, they have portions of prepared food. The chicken salad with pecans and grapes is a personal favorite , as are the set-of-three ham and cheese on...

Lucky's holds a charm of the small local grocery store but is not antiquated by any means. The staff is friendly and their stock is basic needs with some new innovative product as well. You can't beat the prices, especially on fresh veggies. I highly recommend the store. I am updating; we still shop here even though it quite a drive now.
