Marenna Amusements LLC — Local services in Meriden

My department has traditionally hired Marenna Amusements for the last few years to provide a carousel type ride for our town's holiday festival- I reached out two months ago in October to secure the ride we typically rent from them for a December 2nd event. I called twice and emailed three times with no response. It wasn't until I let them know I would be looking elsewhere for carousel rental that they returned my email. We put in a purchase order for a small dinosaur ride and they confirmed drop off on November 29th, 2017 and that they would get paid for it on arrival. The day comes and goes with no ride installation nor a call or email explaining why they did not show. They responded on December 1st saying the ride was "broken" but would find a replacement. It is now December 2nd and we still have had no call from them on a replacement ride like they said they would bring. In their last communication with us they said "on the bright side, you didn't pay us yet" meaning we hadn't wasted any money for nothing yet. Not going to be...

The company has updated rides or just new rides!! I was a worker back in 2018 season which at the time wasnt maybe their best season.. i was happy to have worked for them, even after a sore end. BUT after the 2022 Orange County Fair in Orange CT the family was very nice and offered my son a wristband ( knowing he’ll only go on certain rides) I do have to say that the rides were clean ,didnt make odd noises ( having been a ride operator you listen for noises) or give me a worry. Marenna has new rides or have been nicely updated!! Very happy for the family to put so much into this family business after the losses in the family recently.. I cant find a bad word to use to describe them, the ‘Old Man’ didnt have to offer my son anything but he did and same for the son . If they were to call me ,id go after the last experience I had with them . I would recommend going on...

We had a bad experience with the Tafano company years ago so I'm always a little wary when attending fairs now so this year while visiting the apple harvest in southington with my 3 kids I was reluctant to see it was being run by Marenna Amusements. We still proceeded with caution bc I was unsure what to expect after our last fair outing. I can honestly say I was so impressed! Every ride operator was so friendly and attentive. The rides that looked like they had long lines flew by. The ticket prices were cheaper than most other carnivals we've been too. Between being greeted with smiles from every employee there, the kids roaring with excitement and the fair prices, I left as a very happy momma!! They restored my faith in family day trips to the festival!! I'd definitely suggest...
