It is a small commissary to shop at. It is older and outdated but at the same time nice because it is generally less crowded. Watch out for the bugs that fly around the fruit aisle in the summertime and also watch out for the fruit you buy, bc you might take it home and then stuff hatch. Speaking from experience. It is supposed to save you money if you can shop here. It does not save you money even though it is tax exempt. You end up having to pay a 10% commissary tax. You also have to tip the people bagging your groceries. You do not have to tip the baggers but who wants to be that person not tipping. Once you calculate your drive time out to the base and back, the tipping and the commissary fee, you are essentially not saving any money at all. This Base is small and the volume of customers is never overwhelming like a the Commissary in Norfolk, Va. If you need something they don't have they can order it for you and set it aside.
