The experience we had here was absolutely terrible. We arrived there with a truck and a boat. Had been driving for hours and needed a few hours of sleep. We arrived at about 11:30 pm. The load we were carrying was to large to park in regular parking. The security gaurd came and got us and told us we couldnt park by the 18-wheelers. So he led us to the camper emergency part of the center. There we ended up having a blow out. The security gaurd went and got us a phone number and was really nice. He told us we could stay there until 6am until the tourists started coming in. Well, that security gaurd came and checked on us 3 more times before he got off his shift. We got our tire changed and while doing so the other security gaurd came on duty traveling the opposite way down the on ramp into work. We finally got into the boat to catch a few hours of sleep before we had to leave and we hear a loud banging sound on the side of a 250,000 dollar boat that didnt even belong to us. The security gaurd told us that we had to leave. We explained to him that the other security gaurd told us we could sleep until 6 am. That no one would be there until around that time. The man then told us that neither would we. We are standing on top of a 36 ft boat so tired that we could barely hold our eyes open anymore. All my boyfriend told the security gaurd was that this was not right and the gaurd then reached for his gun and told my boyfriend he would blow his brains out. We were so upset we got in the truck and had to drive 30 miles to a walmart just to get some rest. This power tripping security gaurd should not have a gun. Someone is going to get hurt or killed by this man oneday because of his terrible temper. i will never stop at this place again and i will be reporting this man. He needs to be stopped before he really...

This place was a joke. The VERY WORST place we have stopped. We have a semi ALL semi parking was full. Every spot drivers even parked on the ramps. We pulled in a bus spot we just wanted to use the restroom and we would move on. The security guard came rushing up and very rudely said we had to leave and go to the semi parking told him there is nothing over there and we were not staying be like 10 minutes. He proceeded to yell at us get out then. Well dang give a minute or two to put shoes on. He did not stop stood at the driver's door yelling to get out. And I may add this was 11:15PM not one bus in site what was it hurting to be there for 10 minutes or so. This made this experience the very worst and I know i will never be back nor ever tell anyone to stop there. Drivers dont have enough space or time to always get to truck stops during the day so they drive overnight. We have always stopped in rest areas for those quick stops never once been yelled at like this or treated so poorly. Usually rest areas have...

My husband and I was traveling from Atlanta GA to Texas and we stopped at the Mississippi Welcome Center. The grounds were very nice and kept very clean. No trash anywhere. I went inside to use the facilities and as I came inside the staff asked Where we were heading and how many are in our party? I thought that was really cute 😍 The restrooms were closed on one side to be cleaned. But the other side was opened for our convenience. The restroom was cleaned and well stocked. I had no problem getting into an empty stall. There were also refreshments available to purchase if anyone in upur group is looking to fulfill their sweet tooth, or just wanting something to snack on or needing a nice cold drink.
