I really wanted to support this small business but have had multiple negative experiences so I've switched to Thrifty Produce and am much more satisfied. My first visit, the owner made me feel pretty uncomfortable about using a debit card instead of cash. She acted as if she didn't want me to purchase anything with the card - which, with merchant fees I totally understand why they prefer cash - but the debit card was all I had with me at the time so it was quite discouraging. I gave it another try after that and noticed the owner prepping food in the back room during my visit without any gloves while coughing and sneezing. It turned me off BIG TIME. The other issue I have is the very unpredictable hours. I would often drive over to Carrie's during hours posted as business hours on Google, but they would be unexpectedly closed.
