American Legion — Local services in Mesa

Went there early 4:00 yesterday with a group of friends. Had drinks ordered dinner at 4:50 was told by our waitress that it might take a little longer because they were short staffed and announcements were made to that effect. Received salads about 20 minutes later waitress never came back to the table, the hostess , came back around 6 :00 and picked up the salad bowls and I asked her if she knew how long before we would get our meals. Both tables on our left and right were empty when we came were now full and served with their meals along with several other tables. At 6:15 I went up to our waitress and asked her if she knew how long before we received our meals? She said she I don't know. She knew we were all waiting and kept serving everyone around us with no update as to our meals. At 6:45 another member of our party went up to the person who was making the announcements and asked him if he could get us information as to why we haven't received our meals after we patiently waited now for 2 1/2 hrs. He went to the kitchen, at that time another waitress, ( other than ours) came over to inform a few of us, they were now out of the item that they had ordered 2 hrs ago. They had not yet done our order. The waitress was incompetent she should have found out about our order immediately after she realized that we hadn't been served. At that point we decided since they didn't know how long before we would get served, and they were out of some of the items we ordered to leave. We told the new waitress to cancel we would go elsewhere. We were informed not only did they cancel our order but everyone else's orders were canceled too. We'll we went there because we were told that the chicken and fish were really good...I guess we will never know. I don't plan on returning, Management needs to be accountable, when I waitressed the orders would be put in and come out in order not almost 3 hours later. To top it off the person at the door asked how our meal was....haha I was not...

I've been going to the American Legion all my life my grandparents were part of post #1. Post #1 was always good to my grandparents they did events for them for their anniversaries and such. Thr one that I can remember is they did their 50th Anniversary at post #1 I think I was like 15 or 16 years old then for my grandparents anniversaries and such. American Legion has been great to a nonprofit organization that I help run. Down-N-Durdy the photo is from post 117. Post 27 has helped D/D a lot aswell. Forgive me any posts that I have forgotten to mention. I know I only mentioned two but the American Legion is great place and they've been great...

We had Terrible service on Thursday March 14th at 4pm. We had not been to the American Legion for a few months because of the poor kitchen service. From the waitess Shelly we decided to go have chicken.It took us 2 hours before we even got to order.Then it took another thirty minutes for our food..my mom is 86 and was so hungry by 6 30pm. I have been a member of the American legion forever along with my mom. We will be spend our money $$$ somewhere else, That will appreciate us as customers.
