TL;DR: Do business with this dealership. They will work for your business!
My wife and I have been looking for a small bumper pull RV for awhile. I saw a FB Marketplace post placed by Myles McCall and shared it with her. It seemed to be just what we were looking for, so we decided to reach out to Myles and made an appointment that morning. Myles was waiting on us at the front desk even though we were a little early.
Drawing from our past experiences, we were fully prepared to do battle with the dragon, as it were, expecting to get "handled". This experience was different. Myles was a pleasure to work with. His demeanor was laid-back and easy-going. He was helpful and responsive to our questions. When he knew the answer, he offered a full and complete explanation. If he didn't know the answer, he researched it, and got back to us. The recurring theme with Myles was courtesy and no pressure. With his input, we were allowed to draw our own conclusions and not led down a path. After an hour of crawling in it, under it, on top of it, and understanding all the amenities, we relocated into the comfortably air-conditioned showroom and quickly came to a negotiated price we felt was fair and equitable. The only real sticking point: the initial interest rate offered was a bit high. However, we were allowed an out on the sale sheet if the interest rate was not "suitable". With an agreed deposit, Holiday World agreed to let me shop the finance for a few days.
When you make the transition from sales to finance, you expect the pressure to close the deal to be dialed-up behind a veil of feigned courtesy. Chris Richardson made us feel at ease from the moment we sat down. Let me just say our conversations over the course of several days were not all business. He took time to engage us and allow us the latitude to shop the finance. To his credit, Chris is a calming influence in this part of the process. And, at the 11th hour, when I am literally signing paperwork and the phone rings with a more competitive financing offer, he didn't miss a step. He dug-in and found a way to match it. In the end, we were happy to sign the contract with such a gregarious and friendly professional.
So, the deal is done and it's time to take delivery. A convenient appointment was made to take delivery that allowed us time to get all our ducks in a row. The morning of our appointment, I called ahead to speak with Nate, our service advisor, to let him know we needed some assistance to get the hitch connection points installed on the camper. Even though this was not on his schedule, Nate was accommodating and added this to the extensive list pre-delivery asks we requested. Alfredo, our delivery technician, was so patient and informative. He addressed all of our questions and gave us detailed explanations of the on-board systems and even some some helpful cautionary statements. He took the time to make sure we understood how to hook-up, adjust the brake controller, and level the RV. There were a handful of things I asked of him during the walk-thru that he was happy to address for us with a patient smile and understanding.
Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn 1-10-24 at 1:30 pm I purchased a Springdale 1800bh from Jason which went really smooth and never one time did I feel pressured into buying. After paying my deposit and doing the initial paperwork we scheduled to do the walk through and pick up the trailer at 10am on the following day. I asked for 2 small decals to be removed and the air vent needed to be adjusted to close properly so there was not very much that needed to be done to make my trailer make ready. I arrived at my scheduled time that day and my trailer was not even close to being ready for a walk through. I was greeted by Jason and told me they were running a little behind but after we got all the paper work done it should be about ready. After I completed the paper work and wrote my final check for full payment the trailer was still not ready and he told me they just left with my trailer to get it inspected. At this point I seen the customer service going south fast after they received final payment. I did not get to do the walk through until 11:35 so at this point they have waisted over a hour of my time which never in this deal did I waist any of their time! I was upfront with Jason telling him I was really after a Jayco but after he showed me the Springdale it got me thinking differently. The make ready job on my trailer was definitely rushed. The wash job looked like a 8 year old washed it. I believe her name was Meg that did my walk through could not get the outside storage compartment door to lock so she starts using her body force against the door trying to get it to lock and was still not having any luck locking it but still trying as Iām thinking surely she donāt expect me to go through this kind of trouble on my own locking this door. At this point I seen the door jamb was bent and told her and I bent it straight and it locked as it should. At this point I had enough and hooked up my trailer and left. On 1-18-24 I received a email from a manager Armando Camacho advising if I could not give all high scores on the survey to call him. His email did not have a direct phone number so I replied requesting his phone number which I never received a response. The next day I responded once more advising him my phone number if he would just call me but as of 1-31-24 I have yet to hear from him or anyone at holiday works in Dallas. If this transaction would have finished the way it started it would have been a 5 star review but definitely a company that after you make payment they are done with you.
Response again this tells me a lot about how you handle this kind of issue with your generic response to my review. you have all my information and you can reach out to me since I have already emailed one of your managers twice with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are new to the RV world. We took delivery of our new Alpine 5th wheel rig June 2018. We love our Alpine! We've had it out camping 15 times now.
We truly appreciate the wonderful experience that we have had with Holiday World. We are "newbies" and everyone has been so helpful, and so patient. Tommy (manager), Jaime (service manager), Jackie (parts), Chad (financing), Mark / Nate / Jacob / Ben / Jerry (service), Jenna / Christina (reception)...all you guys rock! I'm sure I have probably left someones name off the list and if so I apologize. And I'm sure there are others that have touched our rig that I have not met. Ya'll are great!
Jackie helped us get set up with all the extra equipment and items that we needed to get going, pointing us to the best and most popular items. Everything she helped us select we have needed and used.
Jerry was so patient teaching us how to use the rig and its features, even though he knew we felt a bit overwhelmed trying to absorb it all. He taught us well.
When we had it out on a trip shortly after taking delivery of it we had some hydraulic jack and leveling system issues. We called Holiday World and Jaime, Jacob, and Ben helped us by phone and gave us their phone numbers to call after-hours if we needed help. We did and they answered when we called. They got us through the problem.
Then in July we had to take the rig back in for an issue with the batteries not charging when hooked to shore power or when driving hooked up to the truck. The cause of the problem was not easy to find. Mark and the service gang stuck with the problem until they figured it out and solved it.
Now it's about 1 year later and I called Mark to see if they could do the state inspection for us and address a couple of minor problems. Mark suggested that we bring it in and also let them check it over to see if there was anything else that needed fixed before the manufacturer warranty expires.
Thanks for taking care of us!! You make us feel like family. You are always there when we need...
