Commonwealth Event Center — Local services in Metropolis

My wife and I picked the Commonwealth Event Center as the venue for our wedding before the place was even studs on a concrete pad. Even still, when COVID derailed many events in their opening year they allowed us to delay our wedding until the following year. They didn’t have to, but it’s a testament to their flexibility and desire to give people the occasion they dreamed of even at an inconvenience to themselves. The venue itself was very adaptable and classy. It has all the amenities of a great even space. My groomsmen and I were able to kick back and watch college football in our roomy private suite while my wife and her bridesmaids next door were getting ready in their suite. Erika and Emily were extremely transparent and available throughout the planning and day of event festivities. My fiancée and I got married July 2nd, 2022. The ceremony and reception was everything I ever dreamed of it being. The whole Crowell family was helpful, sweet, and very generous. They helped me through the whole wedding process reminding me about due dates, keeping me updated about events, and other activities. The Commonwealth Event Center is organized and clean. Please understand that I have not planned an event here, I have only seen it from the attendee perspective. This is a reflection of the caterer, decorator, and the venue. With that said the event was beautifully done and well organized. Further, the venue itself if very nice, well laid out and very easy to get in and out of.
