Naples is a great local place to buy restaurant quality foods. They have been here for 100 years and are locally well known for quality and exceptional service. Furthermore, the Naples' family ( this is a family owned business for 100 years) is well known for being "good people" as we say here in Maine. Naples supplies a great many local restaurants, but you don't have to be a restaurant to buy here. You can just walk in off the street and shop. No order is too small or too big. They have a good but small deli (Enrico's Deli) and breads, rolls and pizza shells of various types. They are known for their meats, especially good steaks. Actually, the best place around for getting good steaks, but all their meats are top quality. You may pay a bit more for some things, but it is worth it because everything is restaurant quality. They have good deals that are bundles of different types of meat. Steaks, hot dogs, sausage, bacon, pork chops, etc. You get a better deal by buying the bundles. They have several different bundle sizes available. In short, they have everything that a restaurant would buy. Produce, seafood, frozen appetizers - you name it. My favorites are the frozen appetizers. Deep fried mushrooms, jalapeno poppers, chicken fingers, deep fried calamari...I mean, you name it. But this is NOT like what you would get if you bought the same stuff at a grocery store or Wal-Mart. It is far higher quality. By the way, they accept SNAP benefits and welfare benefits (food stamps, etc). It's a real value for those on welfare to buy one of Naples' meat bundles every month, which many people do. Naples is open from 8am to 4pm Monday-Friday. And 8-noon on Saturdays, closed Sundays. You can call ahead, and they will have your order ready for you. There is tons of parking which is close to the entrance. They accept all forms of payment but if you can, pay in cash, because with cash they don't have to pay card or bank processing fees. Because we love Naples, and we want to support them, most locals...
Read moreI've been using Naples for a year now. They provide good quality for a decent price. The ambiance is kinda low budget, tho. Very utilitarian in set up. It's got a different line-up. I found it confusing my first visit there. Take a number. But the number is used for internal record keeping, not for position in line. No cash register. Go into the office to pay your bill. Sometimes it gets really busy. Now that I know the routine, it isn't a problem. If you are pressed for time, call an order...
Read morePOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Purchased meat there and they fumbled the order. I got 5lbs of tenderloin instead of 5lbs of hamburg. Jim Naples told me the difference was $60.00 I went in to pay for his mistake and was told the amount was 68.00. I said I just drove 18 miles to make good on YOUR mistake, and another mistake was made with a misquote of the difference. My mistake was going in and paying up for their blunder. Isn't my fault they are incompetent. Their 3rd mistake, they lost my...
