Edgewater Motor Sports Park — Local services in Miami Township

This is a really nice facility that I am sure is beautiful in the fall. The majority of the staff and ground crew were nice and the ladies at the gate were very helpful. Now for the bad. This was our first, and last, time going there because the program was terrible for junior dragsters. Two time runs and no buy backs which floored me because there were plenty of kids there. They were run and rushed through as quickly as possible which has good and bad advantages. The left lane is very bumpy at the end and made stopping an adventure and running directly into the western sun was difficult for the lights. The right lane is smooth as glass, however. The payout for winners is not that great compared to other tracks. I was also told of many horror stories about the current owner from people pitted around us, but I cannot judge that merely on hearsay. Wanted this to be a positive review but it's not. I just moved back here from North Carolina. My buddy has two cars that ran in the nines last year at Edgewater. He raved about the track. Well, we just went, and he is up on power but he couldn't hook at all. The track prep was nonexistent. I'm lower power than him, so I gave it a few shots. It was bad. I was running a second or more slower than normal. I should be running a few tenths faster. I couldn't learn much from testing and tuning if I can't get a solid run. The other issue was that the street cars were driving through the water and I know it was all over the starting line up to the 330ft mark. Not only that but they were spraying water everywhere, and a ton of it. The water pits were way out of control. I heard it is under new management. The track has a park Like setting I love all the trees… I was very disappointed with the staff approach to customers: but could have still looked over that. HOWEVER I couldn’t believe it they advertised Payouts for Jr Dragster quarter finals yet when the race was over they let the kids know that they wouldn’t be paying out as noted … I am flabbergasted that a facility of that magnitude would let $100 payout be the reason to disappoint the kiddos that thought they were into the money this was talked about by parents throughout the park what a small contribution for so much negativity .. if $100.00 is worth that to disappoint these kids u needs to close the doors.
