Ottawa County Farmers Market-Miami OK — Local services in Miami

The Ottawa County Farmer's Market in Miami, OK is well known for its local produce and home-made goods from the area. Every vendor is within a 75-mile radius.

They are open every Thursday from 3-6 PM in May and August and 3-7 PM in June and July.

I have been several times within the past 2 years and honestly, I leave disappointed every single time. The vibes from the vendors or even workers who help host the market always seem to be off and not very inviting or welcoming.

I do like how the hours are set during the week and in the evening, that way it does not interfere with the weekend agenda. The hours of operation is the main highlight that attracts me to this particular farmer's market.

There is a cool recipe card rack for people to browse through. They also have a kid's table set up where they can get a color sheet, take some photos, and even try fresh produce and get a little rope bracelet for their participation.

Yet, my disappointment further comes from the lack of variety and selection that is offered from the vendors as well.

As much as I love visiting Farmer's Markets and purchasing from locally owned small businesses, this just has not been a good fit for me or my family. I think it is great what vendors are available show up and sell their produce or home-goods. I wish them all the best.

Well, last two years, online says their supposed to be open but only caught them there once in two years. The Seniors Farmers market sent me a letter threatening to cut me off. This year I wasn't even able to apply. I even called them and told them my car was broke down and none of them near me were open and they still cut me off. That's how they treat combat...
