Had an oak chair stripped and repaired. When I picked it up it cost 65.00 more than quoted. $195.00 to strip a chair and do a small repair? Really. when I questioned the cost to the person at the front of the business she told me it took more time than anticipated. How about a phone call to let us know? The stripping was incomplete and still had varnish in the pores of the wood. Had to take it to a dip stripper to have it redone. Cost- another 75.00. I could have taken to a dip stripper in the first place, but I didn't want the grain of the wood raised by their process. Chair is finally done and refinished. These people have poor business sense. We took in the 2 foot rests , and took the arm & headrest covers & asked if they could use those to cover the foot rests? They said they could. They did a great job. I’m very happy. I wasn’t ready to get a new chair yet. Maybe I can get a few more years out of it. I highly recommend them for your furniture repairs.
