Cole run falls is a three-tier waterfall in Forbes State Forest... It is secluded and serene. The falls are a couple hundred feet from the parking lot off of a forest road, or there's a trail system that connects it to other features in the forest. Do yourself a favor and where proper hiking shoes or boots if attempting to walk to the bottom of the falls. Though it is a short walk it could be treacherous if not wearing the proper footwear....I also suggest trekking poles, or a...

Easy to get to. The top of the main falls is about 50 yards from the parking lot which is on Cole Run Road in Forbes State Forest. It doesn't seem to get much visitation. The main falls has about a 12 to 15 foot drop. It steps down again at an angle with a smaller 3 foot drop waterfall. The best time to go is after a heavy rain in. In mid July the Rhododendrons around it...

One of the best hidden gems in Forbes State Foerst. There are some nice hiking trails in this area but the focal point is the Cole Run Falls themselves. There are a lot of rhododendron plants surrounding the falls so a visit during the blooming season is a must! If you are in the area during a nice rainfall I strongly encourage you to run here to...
