Wow. All the reviews were quite misleading in my opinion. Maybe it's the only game in town but , let's get real here. The entire time you golf you will smell manure. I grew up near several farms and didn't mind it but this smells more like raw sewage. Gnats galore. More than any course ive been on. Probably seasonal so bring bug spray, no big deal. Called ahead and they said they were not busy. New golfers welcome. Uh, the course was packed like a Saturday. My cohorts were bummed but pressed on. Even scramble we were pushed. Hard. Greens were super slow and needed cut. Cups full of water. Blind shots almost every hole if new. Fairways can't be seen to give an idea of direction because they aren't cut with directional patterns and are long. Roughs, forget about it. Get a ball in the rough and you could be five feet from the ball and never find it. And you will because you can't see the hole or where to drive. Put an aim stick where to aim! I hit several great shots only to realize I'm on the other fairway.
Course is laid out with absolute minimum acres required for a 9 hole course. Meaning you are at risk of being beamed in the head on the t box as golfers here hit their twentieth shot over the green at your head. One of the par 3s, I think number 7 is 200 yards from whites and blues. We tried to find the blue and couldnt until we hit our white shot and saw the "fairway" pointed toward a t box on the other side of the green we were just at. Sigh. Don't get me wrong the course looks nice and maybe once you get to know it , it is maybe just ok three stars. However losing balls and having to search for balls immediately off the fairway in the rough is so so lame. CUT. YOUR. GRASS. Final thing, on one of the holes a tree fell near the tee box and was pushed off the cart path. It was an ash tree that was obviously in decay. But they let that thing sit there dead standing, until it eventually fell. If that fell on a foursome in carts, they would have all been dead. This is downright negligent groundskeeping. This is a must skip for me. Also no food. No 19th hole. Yet this is a members club as well? Not even a hotdog. Where's the...
Read moreBeautiful course and a real hidden gem at this price point. Our family came to Ohiopyle for a rafting trip. Course was 40 minutes from Kentuck Campground and worth the drive. Flawless greens; no divots. Fairways are grown in nicely; no muddy spots or trouble areas. Course is wide open but plenty of curves and light hills to keep it interesting. Each hole is unique.
Natalie in the pro shop was very helpful and the groundskeepers do a great job.
I recommend making a tee time because they have a lot of walk ons. Locals must love this course and tourists like myself who stumble out here are happy that we did. See...
Read moreReally have an amazing time everytime I go there, staff are nice and helpful. The course has 9 holes and you can set a "T" time, sing up for membership. The center field holes are straight up and back down then you have a few holes that skirt all the way around the center field. This course is one of my favorites. Very...
