Full disclosure, I’m a hobby clay guy from Cincinnati, I’ve never been to either of their stores. I decided to try out one of the midrange clays after hearing Link interviewed on the Wheel Talk podcast, and now KYMW clays are my favorite ones to use. Really appreciate their attention to good performance in their clays. I’ve used speckled turtle the most, and have minimal experience with Mulhollun, but looking into a couple others from them for an upcoming project. Would definitely recommend!

Stopped in to get some clay, glazes, and tools while traveling home to IN. They had a good supply of everything despite a significant shortage of pottery supplies right now. The young lady who helped me was super helpful and very kind. It was my first time visiting this store, but I will be back.

I recently started throwing pottery and wanted to purchase supplies from a small business. I browsed the KY Mudworks website a couple times, but preferred being able to look at glazes in person before buying, so when I found out I'd be visiting Louisville for an event, I made sure I would have some time to stop in to the store while I was in the area. I was the only customer in the store when I arrived, and the employee at the counter let me browse, but was there to answer questions and look up pricing when I needed her. She also offered to hold my selections at the counter while I continued browsing. They have such a wide variety of glazes and tools at various price points too. They were also consistent about having test tiles on different types of clay for each glaze, which was exactly why I wanted to visit in person. I picked up a good amount of items and made notes of what I'd like to purchase next time, likely online. Loved my experience here and will definitely keep buying...

I ordered a variety of materials from them and paid extra for 3 day shipping. They took over a week to even box and ship the packages, and it took longer than 3 days for the shipping to arrive. It's disappointing because they're the largest clay supplier I can find in the area. When I contacted them they said they were unboxing from a move, but had zero indication of that on their website. They didn't even have the courtesy to email and explain that it would take so long for them to...
