Summit Liquors — Local services in Middletown

95% sure these guys sold me a bottle of liquor that was dumped out and replaced with something fake. Be wary of anything they call “rare” or “high value.” I know my liquor, and what they sold me didn’t match. Also, the plastic was poorly wrapped on there and totally broken seal. Of course I didn’t notice until I was home because it was behind the counter and they hand bagged it.

Reply: Jefferson’s isn’t even rare or expensive, but you guys have it behind the counter for some reason, and of course it didn’t have a plastic cap, but they all have a plastic wrapper around the cork and wooden cap to demonstrate it was sealed. I have drank enough Jefferson’s to know what was in the bottle was NOT Jefferson’s.

They price gouge on their allocated bourbons. These items which they have in the front case are not only 3 to 5 times the suggested retail price, they’re also amongst the highest in the area.

On the day I visited the store, it snowed during the day and there was literally no one else at this business or in the parking lot when I arrived. The lot itself was snow-covered and slippery.
