GREAT SERVICE! I recently purchased a 'used 2012 hybrid car' that only came with 1 key fob. I needed 2 key fobs for this vehicle. I found out to purchase an additional key fob through a 'car dealer' is very expensive, and on top of that, the car dealer also charges an additional hefty fee to 'program' the fob to the car, and more to get the manual key to the fob cut. - But, at Milan Ace Hardware, Joe was extremely helpful and he ordered me a new key fob for less than 1/2 the price quoted from a car dealer. Yes, less than 1/2 the price! This was a huge savings. When the key fob arrived, Joe and Pat, (Pat was also extremely helpful,) they both programmed the key fob to my car, and Shelly cut-in the fob manual key to fit my car. - They did all this for free! - The service at this store is terrific! I also purchased a house in Milan that is approximately 125 years old. Needless to say, I take many trips to this Ace Hardware. All the staff at this local small town hardware store are very friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. None of my questions have ever gone unanswered. One of the best hardware stores in Washtenaw County. The only thing it lacks is that it does not duplicate all brands of motorcycle Keys. The Ace Hardware in Saline is better in this regard. Great knowledgeable and friendly staff. Keep up the good work.

Update – April 2022. Although this is still an excellent Ace Hardware store, one must exercise caution if sending pre labeled UPS packages through the store. I recently dropped off a package and received a receipt. After a week, I was still awaiting confirmation from UPS that the package was on the way or had arrived at his destination. Information from UPS indicated that the package was never shipped. However, equipped with receipt in hand, I returned to the store to determine the issue. One of the younger workers informed me that they do not keep records more than a day or two, and that there is absolutely nothing they can do. They said if the package is lost, the blame lies with UPS. UPS indicates that the package is still at the store. Friendly? Yes. Helpful? Yes. Prices? Not so much. Living in Milan it is a go-to store when you are in a pinch. But after 10 months into the pandemic they appear to have mediocre regard for safe practices. Young workers there seem to get it, but one guy is still just wearing a bandana, a little better these days, and another guy is always letting his nose pop out because he is chewing gum or maybe doesn't get it.
