I had a horrific incident on day 15th June 2025 at around Noon. I was aghast by the behavior of the employee of Restaurant Depot. He is unfortunately the Manager of the The store at Milford, MA. His name is Josh. I went to return some stuff that I had purchased 3 days back that did not contain the items that were supposed to be in the box. I purchase that item often. But the box this time was missing the empty boxes it has. It had only lids and I wanted to return those boxes that was missing the lower part of the empty tubs I buy often. When I went to the checkout and told Josh about what has happened, gave him the receipt and asked to give me an exchange. He got agitated and furious and in no time he started accusing me of theft. He said that “I will make sure that you are not allowed to enter the restaurant depot anywhere here in MA”. I asked him to check the security cameras for any foul play from my side. He refrained from doing so and instead started humiliating me in front of the people. I asked him politely to be careful before accusing me of any theft. I just came to return the lids of the empty boxes. I do not understand how was I accused of any kind of theft. I, with paid receipt, went to ask exchange. How does that make me a thief? The other employees at the place did mention to me that he is not of good behavior and he has done that before to other people. I also think, there was an angle of discrimination here as well. I shop at the that place for all my restaurant needs worth over $10,000/week and I got treated so badly. It was extremely poor customer service. I would never go to that place and I feel sorry for restaurant depot to loose such a high business value partner. I m utterly disappointed in restaurant depot, its staff, its customer service and the value given to its premium customers. I request the owner of the place to take stringent actions against such employees. They are harming the business and reputation of Restaurant depot.    Read moreI was there today to buy 6 packs of lobster, which then one the staff put in a box for me. When I was about to leave, a staff (a young woman - this woman also the one at the cashier when I check-out) started to count and check the receipt like usual. I think she then realized that the box of lobster that I had doesn't match the price that she (scan?) put it. So she said she will refunded it and get the correct price. Then another one of the employee there (perhaps a manager?) came out of his office and accused me of stealing, yelling at me and threat to call security or look at the security camera whatsoever, which was quite embarrassing. At the point, I then realized that those 6 packs of lobster are in what seemed to be a frozen Turkey's box! so of course the price doesn't match. I tried to explain to him that I don't know about the box as I wrote earlier that a staff gave that box with lobster in it to me (and the box is wide open, it's not like I try to seal the box!). He, of course continue to scream and say I lied and I put lobster in a new box, and he can look at the security camera (which I encourage him to do so). Everyone was staring of course because he just won't stop yelling!.
If he would use just a single brain-cell he would think what he accused me of doesn't make any sense!. Where would I get a cardboard box from? How do I empty that turkey box? Where are those frozen turkey (on the floor)? Or do I walk in with a cardboard box?
At the end, no apology from that man. Not a single 'I'm sorry'. Extremely rude. He can't even handle simple issue. No need to be rude. Must be terrible working with this...
   Read moreWorst experience of my life. We purchased 22 items and the employee who scanned our stuffs was not trained at all. She took over 15 minutes to scan 22 items. Then a man checked our receipts and he started showing attitude. He was getting more counts than the receipts. He was throwing and pressing the breads we paid for and was acting as if we were at fault. I had young kids with us and they kept harassing us in front of our kids and the customers. Then we asked for someone else to help us out as he was not able to figure it out. Then after getting harassed for over 10 minutes a lady came out and told us you cannot talk to my employees like that then she told me to shut up and said if your child was not sitting in the cart then it would not been a problem. My 6 year old jumped out of the cart out of fear. She yelled at me constantly and took out the two items that they didn't scan and walked away. It was totally their fault and as a manager she never apologized . What a poor service.I feel discriminated and harassed. My kids were scared. Such unprofessional employees. I will bring this to consumer forum. Restaurant depot has no quality. Its high time for the management to look into this. They don't deserve any star. The employees are not happy with the job.
