DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE. Management and maintenance are disorganized and do not communicate. My apartments air conditioning broke in February and myself and my roommates put in requests to have it fixed and no one contacted us until march when they had someone come look at it and not fix it. Then again they came out in April and their solution was a single AC window unit in the living room of our 4 bedroom apartment and a promise to fix it “next week” then nothing else was done until May 13th when their hired technicians set off a sprinkler in the AC closet and flooded the entire apartment. After that the floor and kitchen were ripped out and not replaced until the last week of June despite them assuring me everything should be fixed in 2 weeks. During this time the AC STILL didn’t work and one weekend it was 95° inside my apartment. They took everything out of the kitchen cabinets and threw our stuff in cardboard boxes that were not taped or organized. The water damage and heat caused mold to grow on our belongings. We also had a vacant room that was left unlocked from December to June and they had moved our stuff into it to repair the floors and then locked the door with our belongings inside with no notice, refused to let my roommate in to remove our belongings, and then sent a text saying if our stuff wasn’t removed by the end of the day they would throw it all in the dumpster. Throughout all of this I received various “promises” from management about when things would be fixed and they did NOT deliver and then denied giving any detail about when things would be repaired. They never offered a reduction in rent or a refund and when a refund was requested they claimed the mold was our fault and said they “handled everything in a timely manner.” I am still considering legal action. Essentially do not live here unless you’re prepared to get everything in writing regarding repairs etc. OR you’re willing to pay too much money to live in...
Read moreMagnolia Park Apartments in Milledgeville is definitely NOT what we were shown in the showcase apartment. My daughter signed a lease after both her and her roommates and we toured the facilities. Upon move in, we were dumbfounded. Should have known from the outdoor column leaning like the Tower of Pisa, we were in trouble. The apartment had not been deep cleaned, cabinet drawers were falling of the hinges, the actual cabinet was pulling out from the wall, handrail on stairs was coming out. We had to replace outlet covers, repair the back of the dresser, and clean the fridge. During the next two weeks, the washing machine had to be replaced, the dish disposal had to be repaired, and the water pressure was never good.
Final straw was when they requested us to resign the lease IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER for the following year and offered the students $300/$100 gift cards to do so. We did not allow our student to resign and EACH time, I called the office to ensure that she didn't have to in order to hold her spot for the next school year. Each time I was told that no, I did not. By Christmas, she was informed her room had been leased for the next year and she needed to move out by July 15th. The "manager" also offered me parental advice that I should let my student take more responsibility. My response was if that were the case, why did they rely on my good credit to approve her for the apartment to begin with?
Bottom line is this place could be very nice and could be a prime living choice for GCSU students, but it LACKS MANAGEMENT or the management lacks experience. Glad to be gone from Apartment 911...
Read moreWorst living experience I’ve had so far. The whole time being here barely anything has been fixed, I’ve had to wash my clothes at my parents because the dryer has never been worked on. There are bugs everywhere and the “pest control” only comes in the bathroom, sprays one wall then leaves. I have had so many issues in this apartment due to the lack of responsibility and poor management. The laundry door has fallen on me and my mother when she visited. Every time someone does come in here it’s for something irrelevant and I get woken up because of loud drills and banging. They continue to lock my doors not knowing if I have my key or not. While I was going on a trip the cat I was looking after was locked in the room with no food or water for 2 days because my friend couldn’t get in to feed him. Right before my trip workers came in and woke me up as usual, covering the floor with glue so I couldn’t leave my room without getting it on my shoes and they took everything out of my storage closet and left it in the kitchen, blocking everything I need to get to. Me and my old roommate wrote a long list of things that needed to be done in this apartment and they have only fixed the most minor things. I’ve tried being patient but this is seriously becoming very annoying. I don’t recommend this place to anyone and once my lease is up I won’t be coming back 👎🏽 I would give 0 stars if I could but let’s say 1 because the jacuzzi is the only thing this place has...
