Hiller went above and beyond fixing these issues for my mom, so I edited the post to reflect! Special thank you to Diane Dagette who ensured my mother was taken care of. Very happy with their customer service follow through!!!**^
Iam posting this review on behalf of my mom, who has struggled endlessly to get answers and attention from Hiller with no help.
“November 12, Chris and Johnny came said I was getting surges. Chris said my panel was original and too old for a 220 surge protector he left Johnny stayed and sold me a $349 membership under the pretense that an electrician would go through my entire house and the entire attic And check everything also a plumber would do the same entire house and under house… that did not happen
On November 19, Ryan, the plumber came and Johnny the electrician Ryan myself and my brother stood under my house and I spotted a drip. Ryan did not check any of the rest of the house for other lakes. Johnny the electrician checked the panel and said he went into the attic however the attic door makes a lot of noise and I never heard it come down. There are no pictures of anything in the attic . Johnny said he would put a 220 surge protector on my existing panel contrary to what Chris said.
Before leaving on the night of the 19th Johnny said he would submit his report to dispatch and dispatch. Would call me that also never happened so at 4 o’clock on November 20 I called dispatch she said and I quote what do you need? I said I don’t know Johnny was supposed to tell you what I needed She said and I quote I’ll have him call you nine days later on November 29 at 4:14 PM Johnny calls and he says and I quote you wanted me to call you end“ I asked Johnny if he went into the attic he said yeah I stuck my head up there. I’m only supposed to get a visual on something he said that I’m not Aware of what that specific thing is. He said I should call and reschedule another diagnostic if I was not happy with the one that I got. December 5 at 12:50 PM. I drove to my local Goodlettsville branch of Hiller and asked to speak to the GM. I was told she was out and they didn’t know when she’d be back and to leave my name and number which I did. I have yet to hear from her and it is December 9 at 2:35 in...
Read moreI will be providing 2 reviews (1 now, based on Graydon Robinson's visit) and another later on after the installation).
I was inquiring about a gas tankless water heater and scheduled an appointment with Hiller as well as another company to provide an additional quote.
I had already received a quote a few months earlier and was told that the quote was a good quote but he was still able to discuss different options and provided me with a lower quote.
He also looked at the furnace and AC unit that I had installed last year and complemented my choice of brands.
I contacted the other place that was going to provide an additional quote and cancelled that appointment. They reached out to me and asked me if I would be willing to let them try to beat the deal from Hiller, I was interested in hearing what he had to say UNTIL he decided to try to make their business look better by trying to belittle the competition.
When Graydon came over he was very complementary of the competition as well as some of the people he knew at the other location that was scheduled for the next quote.
Within all industries I truly believe that professionalism and customer service is just as important if not more important that the actual price itself (I mean, I don't remember what I spent for a hamburger last week, but I sure remember how I was treated).
Also, They are a TVA Energyright partner and I received an $800 rebate from TVA.
INSTALL REVIEW: The guys arrived here around 1PM and immediately got started.
We had 3 installers working on removing the 19 year old tank water heater and and installing the new tankless water heater.
The 3 guys are Thomas, Tyson, and Paul. They were professional, courteous, and just great personalities that provided amazing attention to detail with the install.
They also checked the water pressure level as well as checked all the faucets for showers, bathtubs and sinks to ensure that everything was up and running prior to removal, clean up and making sure I was satisfied with everything.
They definitely adhere to their slogan of "Happy you'll be or the...
Read moreETA: Due to exceptional customer service following this situation, I want to edit my review. Within an hour or two of posting this review, Hiller’s customer service rep called me, apologized for our bad experience, and said they wanted to make things right. They were so kind and even refunded us the money we paid Hiller to investigate our leak as well as sending us a check to cover the fix the other company ended up doing. This restored our faith in Hiller as a brand. I think we will consider using Hiller again in the future knowing their customer service team is committed to honesty and integrity.
TL;DR : Hiller lied to my face about what the problem was to scam us out of thousands of dollars. Do not use Hiller!!!!
We called Hiller because our AC wasn't working at full capacity. They charged us a few hundred dollars to do a leak investigation bc the unit was leaking refrigerant. They told us we needed a new evaporator coil and quoted us $3500. They said they didn't think we should do that though and instead recommended we just replace the whole unit for $9000. They also said they'd have to schedule putting the replacement coil in for the following week, leaving us without AC for a week.
Fortunately my husband insisted we get a second opinion. I called Universal Heating and Cooling the next day. They came within a couple hours and were able to fix it right then. Turns out it wasn't the evaporator coil at all but instead a metal tube that was leaking that the Universal guy was able to weld shut. This fix cost us only $700 and was done right away! We really regret paying Hiller everything we did just for them to look at the issue and lie to us!
We've used Hiller a few times for plumbing in the past, but we will definitely never be using Hiller again. Do...
